Coping and paste no longer updating cell references when pasted. A1+B1 does not become A2+B2
When I copy a formula in a cell and paste in the cell below the value of the first cell is pasted instead of the new formula. As in A1+B1 does not become A2+B2 when copied and pasted in the cell below the original. This is something new to this spread sheet, I have used this same basic sheet since 2015. It was created on an older version and transferred to EX 2016 that came with my Office Pro.

I cannot reproduce that behaviour. Please check the fomula in the pasted cell. Does it really say =A1+B1?
Check your calculation options on the Formulas ribbon. If calculation is set to Manual, the formula will not recalculate and the result will not refresh when the formula is pasted.

As I said in my return e-mail, I checked the formula and it was correct. The problem was your second possibility, the calculation us set to manual. I don't know how this setting changed as I didn't do it on purpose and actually didn't know you could make that change. I am still learning some of the features of this version having used an older version for sometime.
