Connecting cells for sorting

I am trying to set up a spreadsheet for a bowling league.  I can enter scores for the three games and get it to total them in a separate cell.  I need to rank the bowlers from highest to lowest total each week.  How do I keep the name and total connected together when I sort them?  And can I set it to automatically sort them when the game scores are changed each week?
