Conditional Formatting for training matrix

I'm so confused. I have a training matrix for work skills.

Names in the first column, then each of the columns has the skills, manual handling, first aid etc.

I want to type in the date that the staff member undertook the training and then have the cells change colours after 12months, after 11months, less than 12 months.

There is a lot of info about formatting based on todays date but this isn't what I'm looking for. I don't want to highlight cells 12months older than today, I want to highlight cells 12months older than the date entered in them?

I need to know when someone has training that has expired.

Thanks for the clarification. That does depend on the current date: if Bob completed training on 16-Oct-2023, the cell should currently be green. But when the current date is 16-Sep-24 it should change to orange.

    Create rules like this:

    See the attached version.

"cells 12months older than the date entered in them".

But that is relative to today's date, isn't it? Please explain.

Hi Hans, maybe I'm just getting a bit muddled up.

Its not dates that are 12months older than today.

So in this example Bob completed stock delivery training on the 16th of October 2023, This needs to change to due to expire ( yellow ) on the 16th of September and change to expired ( red)on 16th of October 2024.

      Thank you for your assistance.
