Concat why does it display the formula instead of the string of number
Hi, Why does my concat formula not work? I have 01392 38 in cell A4 and 0100 in cell B4 and I expect to see 01392 380100 as the answer on Cell C4 but instead I get the formula listed? Please advis...
- Make sure that the cells with these formulas are NOT formatted as Text, but as General. If they were formatted as Text, press F2 to edit the formula after changing the format to General, then press Enter.
- Make sure that the Show Formulas button in the Formula Auditing group on the Formulas tab of the ribbon is NOT highlighted.

Sadly not the answer. I have the show formula unticked and the cells as "General".
Any other ideas?

Is there a space before the formulas?
Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?
- No, no space. However when I saved it as a different spreadsheet (that I was going to share here) and I deleted the 10'000 records that I had, it works as it should. Not sure what happened but it is now fixed. Thank you for helping though 🙂
