Complicated formula - help appreciated!

I'm using Google sheets and want to create a formula that helps determine my grade.
Something like:
If "cell" is between "600 and 700" display A, if it's between "500 and 599" display B
And so on.
I'm open to better ideas, but this class is in points and not percentages, so I just wanted a quick way for it to calculate all my points together in a letter grade.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't really know what "and so on" means.  But you might try the following:

    LOOKUP(A1, {0, 300, 400, 500, 600}, {"F", "D", "C", "B", "A"})

    I am guessing that 400 to 499 is a C, 300 to 399 is a D, and anything below 300 is an F.
