Closest value

The attached excel file contains following data:

  • Date
  • Open price for date
  • High price for date
  • Low for date
  • Close for date

How to determine:

  • Column E is closer to column, B,C or D for the day and if E is closer to any of the column then in different column titled "Closest" should display column heading of the closest value to column E value

 

No Macro and/or VBA

    Well, if your data does not contain any reference to actual time of the day that the High or the Low occurred, there is no way to determine what came first.
