Changing text to date in excel 2013

Question

This might seem pretty silly, but I can't seem to get cell with the date entered into it to convert from the text format to a date format.&nbsp; I've tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to work.&nbsp; Does anyone have any helpful hints?

Unselect Formulas -&gt; Show Formulas

yes I tried this but had no success.

If text to column and for the cell F2-&gt;Enter both don't work when most probably dates are entered not in current regional settings format

Did you use find-and-replace with character 160 - and then text-to-columns?&nbsp;Did you use CLEAN(A1)*1?&nbsp;Otherwise please provide a sample workbook.&nbsp;
