Cell content partially disappears on entering the cell.

Good day,

I am experimenting a very strange and highly inconvenient issue with Excel 2010:

upon a double click on a cell in a spreadsheet most of its content disappears from both cell and fx view.

On entering the cell either from navigating with a keyboard or clicking with a mouse, the beginning of the content is not shown in the fx line (while still seen in the cell itself).

I have created a brand new spreadsheet and the problem is seen from the get-go.

Here is the original table, no cells are selected:

Then I click on B2, part of the text becomes invisible in both cell and the fx line:

Same problem is seen whatever cell I navigate to

This simply means I cannot edit first part of the text, as there is no content shown.

How can this be fixed??
