Cell Color Based on Adjoining Cell
Is there a way to make the cell colors in G auto change based on the colors in D?

Thanks! See the attached workbook. I created 7 rules for the entire range - see Formulas > Manage Rules...

HansVogelaar Column D is a drop down with conditional formatting for color based on another sheet/tab. I manage to do a conditional format to make G the same color based if D = "food lookup'... but even tho they are the same colors, the sum at the bottom ignores the color and considers it blank. Maybe I am just asking too much??

I repeat my request...

- CLGill200Apr 09, 2024Copper ContributorThinking maybe it cannot be done 😞 From another Thread: "That's because conditional formatting is not part of the Interior.color collection and as such cannot be read or counted. Depending on what the underlying value is in the cell with the conditional formatting you can count the literal values instead"
