can't open excel file
I want to open a file that contains my commission information from a company I work with. I am receiving a message that says " The operating system is not presently configured to run this application." It then says opening in protected view and does not open. Can anyone assist?

If I may recommend, you can run Windows Update first.
After that, you can perform an Office repair to fix this problem
a. Open Control Panel - Programs and Features
b. Select Microsoft Office in the application list
c. Right-click and click Change
i.e. Click Repair and then select Online Repair
If it still doesn't work, then run Excel Start in Safe Mode.
If the problem persists, reinstall your Office applications.
