Cannot add data to 3D Maps (Excel 2016 / Office 365)
I shot myself in the foot and cannot figure out how to fix this. I have a spreadsheet that just got way too big because I added multiple ranges to a single layer / scene. I did this just to learn how to use 3D Maps. So, I wanted to remove all the extra ranges. So I opened Queries & Connections and deleted all the ranges so I could start over. However, now when I go into 3D Maps, the rightmost pane that usually lists the data only has an error message: 3d Maps needs data to work with. So I go back to the spreadsheet, select the appropriate data, click 3D Map, and Add Selected Data to 3D Maps. It does absolutely nothing. I've tried this with multiple different ranges with the same result. The I did a full repair of Office 365, which didn't help. Then I opened the file with a repair, which didn't help. So, now I'm stuck. I need to re-add the data to 3D Maps and cannot accomplish it.
Can anyone help?

I should add that I CAN go back to a previous version. However, I (stupidly) was making changes to a LOT of VBA code while messing with the 3D Maps. So, if I revert to the previous version, I will have to make those changes again. Not a huge deal, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.
Thanks.

Anyone? I got my issue fixed with some copy and paste effort. However, it's just happened again. Someone must know how to reset 3D Maps so it can take data? I can bring up a new map, but any highlighted data is not incorporated. When I have maps open and switch back to Excel to select a range, then use the add data to map, it does absolutely nothing.
I really need some help here. Please...
Thanks - David

I cannot figure out how add data labels or names automatically to the points on the map.
How is this done in office 365?
