Block preview of a protected Excel file

Hello,

I thought I was safe in protecting an Excel FILE with an encrypted password using Excel menu.

But when I use the preview pane and click on that file I can see the whole content of tht protected file without opening it with a pwd. The file doesn't include macros so it is saved as a simple .xlsx file.

How can I avoid the contents to be seen from a preview?

Thank you

Luciano

Here's a quick workaround, maybe it will help you too.

Set the print area in this worksheet.

A print area where the cells are empty.

    Then protect/hide the worksheet.

This means that only the empty cells are displayed in the print preview.

Set or clear a print area on a worksheet

Hope I was able to help you with this information.
