    If you want MAX speed by gear then could try one of the following-

    =GROUPBY(TOCOL(D5:I17),TOCOL(J5:O17),MAX,0,0)
=GROUPBY(TOCOL(CHOOSECOLS(R5:AC17,SEQUENCE(1,6,1,2))),TOCOL(CHOOSECOLS(R5:AC17,SEQUENCE(1,6,2,2))),MAX,0,0)

      Hi Harun,

      Apologies for such a delayed response and thanks for your help. My aim here is to have the highest forward force at each velocity, i.e. stay in 1st gear until the forward force at the corresponding velocity in the second exceeds that of 1st. I don't need to utilize every value on the table.
