All Excel files start refreshing data (powerquery) on opening a new file

I have an issue with my Excel. it is refreshing all open files (with powerquery queries) whenever I open a new file. Pleas help with a solution to this.

Please check query properties if refresh on opening is not checked.

Sergei, please help. I have almost stopped using Excel power query because of this issue.

Yes I have checked that multiple times. Its not enabled.

  In the past I had one file that had the setting to refresh on open and I disabled that. I don't know why Excel got corrupted and now it refreshes every open file when i open a new file. If i have 4 files open then it will start refreshing all 4 files when I open a new file.
