a function not working (current date function)
Hi, when I try to add to my document of excel the current date (in a permanent way, so that it doesn't change every time I open Excel) I use the function: CTRL+SHIFT+; The fact is that when I ...
there are no addons running. I even tried to go to the website you linked me but with no success. when I press CTRL+; appears the loading symbol instead of the pointer, but for half a second and then it happens nothing.

Does this happen just in one file, or in every spreadsheet you open (even a blank one)?
If it is just one file, does it have macros within it?

- it happens in every spreadsheet.
If you have not done so, could you please load Excel in safe mode (hold Ctrl button, double click Excel icon, then accept the prompt) and try the shortcut to see if it works?
- no success even this time. the icon becomes a light blue circle for half a second but it happens nothing at the end.
