a function not working (current date function)
Hi,
when I try to add to my document of excel the current date (in a permanent way, so that it doesn't change every time I open Excel) I use the function: CTRL+SHIFT+;
The fact is that when I press that combination of keys, even in the command bar, it happens nothing.
why doesn't it work? is there an alternative way?
thanks

Hi Alberto,
could you please try entering Ctrl+; to insert current date? Ctrl+Shift+; should be inserting current time.
Do you have any add-ons running?

there are no addons running. I even tried to go to the website you linked me but with no success. when I press CTRL+; appears the loading symbol instead of the pointer, but for half a second and then it happens nothing.

Hi Alberto,
Does this happen just in one file, or in every spreadsheet you open (even a blank one)?
If it is just one file, does it have macros within it?
Thanks
