How to delete my own company as a tenant of my company
Hello,
I fear I have done something silly. I create Power BI custom visuals, and want to test the licensing. I couldn't see the Customers workspace and I wanted to create a test account, so thought I would link my own company as a tenant of my company. I thought this would mean I wouldn't see any licensing prompts (this does not seem to work). However, I am not able to delete the linkage as "I cannot delete a logged-in tenant".
More worrying, I am unable to create a support ticket - I just get documentation listed, and no option to create a ticket. I go in circles.
I have tried various routes on a call, screensharing with a Microsoft engineer, and he agrees that the option to raise a ticket is missing. My theory is that it is because the system regards me as a tenant, I am not allowed to do Partner-type things such as raise a ticket. Has anyone had the same issue? Can someone raise a ticket on my behalf because I am drawing a blank.
Right now, this is the only thing stopping me from publishing my software.
I signed up for the CSP program, but still cannot see the Customers workspace, even though it is listed as "Active" in Account settings > Identifiers. It is not listed as a Program.
Thanks
Emma

Hi EmmaSaunders
I'm sorry that you're having trouble with viewing the customer's workspace.
While I cannot resolve technical issues, I can provide you with information that may help you.
I create Power BI custom visuals and want to test the licensing. I couldn't see the Customers workspace and I wanted to create a test account.
If I understand correctly, the following MS Learn doc you install, import, and use the Power BI visuals test utils - Introduction to usage of test utils in Power BI visual - Power BI | Microsoft LearnorIntroduction to unit tests for Power BI visual projects - Power BI | Microsoft LearnHowever, I am not able to delete the linkage as "I cannot delete a logged-in tenant".

- If not, do you have someone else in your company that has an account? If so, they may need to submit the support ticket and provide all details, including your account information.

LicensingConcierge1 Many thanks for your reply.
Thank you for the test-utils links. Unfortunately, that is a different kind of testing (unit tests) than I need to perform. I need to create a test customer and assign it a license to my product, and then provide that test customer account password and login to Microsoft so they can test and approve my product.
There has been progress and I can now see the Customer Workspace. The problem was that I had not clicked Accept for CSP under Agreements in Account Settings. Unfortunately, despite being a Global admin and Admin agent, I cannot yet add a customer in this workspace. I have refreshed and logged in/out. I hope this will just take some time.
My engagement manager raised a support ticket on my behalf for me, so the issue whereby I cannot create a ticket is being looked at. I can click the question mark and open the support panel, but I can only see the "Review Solutions" button, and once I click it there is no further option to create a support ticket. I was previously able to create a ticket and saw more options in this panel.
Thanks for the link on deleting a tenant, but it doesn't help. I would like to delete myself as tenant of my own company. Unfortunately I get the error that I cannot delete a logged in tenant.
Thanks for any further suggestions.

Thank you for providing more details about the type of test you want to conduct. You need to test and if necessary, you'll need to debug, catch exceptions, etc.

I'm happy to know that the link on finding your customer's workspace was helpful in guiding you to check your account settings
You should call out that you're unable to add the customer to your workspace in the support ticket that your engagement manager submitted for you.

I'm happy that my suggestion to have someone else within your organization submit the support ticket on your behalf was helpful and I'm sure that the support team will assist you.
Thanks for the link on deleting a tenant, but it doesn't help. I would like to delete myself as tenant of my own company. Unfortunately I get the error that I cannot delete a logged in tenant. You mentioned that a support ticket was submitted, and I'm sure that you ask them to assist you by logging you out. Therefore, if the support team does not delete the account that you created for yourself, you'll need to use the link that I provide to guide you on deleting your account.
