Emails from Microsoft Azure have no Tenant ID or Name
We regularly receive email notifications and advisories from Azure, which provided warnings and other useful information from tenants. The particular one which brought about the issue I'll come to, is that for "Your workloads are running on images that will be deprecated soon".
One of our CSP customers has a 2012 Server VM deallocated in their Azure Tenancy.
The email helpfully provides the steps to remediate the problem, what the problem is, FAQs etc. All very helpful. Then at the footer of the message is a Subscription name <string> and ID <GUID>.
As a restricted helpdesk user, our team have no way to locate the tenant from the Subscription ID GUID in the Partner Center / Tenancy / Customers list. The only way to do it is with the Billing Files, which we're not about to give access to the Helpdesk.
Is there someone at Microsoft who reads these, can request whomever writes these reports to include a Tenant ID on the email so we can find the Tenant please?
Thanks, Alan.
Thank you for replying.
I believe you can find the tenant ID, Object ID, and partner association details, along with their respective subscription IDs in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) on the Azure portal - Find Tenant ID, Object ID, and partner association details in Azure Marketplace - Marketplace publisher | Microsoft Learn
I don't see where you've provided your role in your reply, so you should know that only the owner of a subscription has the privileges to perform these steps:
The free edition of Microsoft Entra ID is included with a subscription of a commercial online service such as Azure, Dynamics 365, Intune, Power Platform, and others.
If the above information is not helpful, you will need to submit a support ticket in Partner Center (login req'd).

In order to best assist, would you mind clarifying all of the following please?
- Are you a Reseller, Direct Partner, Indirect Provider, etc.?
- Are you asking how to identify a tenant using their Subscription ID GUID in Partner Center?
- What is your "role"? Meaning, are you the Global Admin, etc.?
- Alan GreenwoodCopper Contributor1. Direct Partner
2. Yes, that's correct.
3. My personal role has elevated permissions to access Billing, Incentives etc. However, the Helpdesk users who receive the notification emails in the Support mailbox are Users with Access to Partner Center "Customers" with a "Helpdesk" role. No access to Billing.- LicensingConcierge1Microsoft
