D365 Business Central - Environments
We have deployed D365 BC with the BTTC2 offer for a client. The Client is a global company and they have the following D365 BC instances:
- Existing D365 BC implementation. This is an existing BC implementation with its own Production and Sandbox environments.
- New Implementation – This division is in India on NAV on premises and we are migrating them to D365 BC Cloud on the corporate US tenant (same tenant as existing implementation) under the BTTC2 offer.
My questions are:
- Does the BTTC2 program will provide the additional Production Environment and 3 additional Sandbox Environments for new implementation?
Thank you!

Like Nick mentioned, only USLs are included in the BTTC2 promotion. Tenant-level licenses do not have a promotion option.
Do note tho. As the NAV-->BC deployment for India will be deployed in the same US tenant which already has active BC licenses, Microsoft might not allow the BTTC2 promo to be activated in the US tenant. As the guide states that the customer must be new to BC Online, and since the US tenant already has BC Online, that tenant is not eligible anymore for the BTTC2 promo.
You'd probably need to log a ticket to explain the situation for your customer, that India is migrating to cloud in the US tenant. Microsoft might allow it, but per policy it's not allowed.

Hi,
To my knowledge only the Premium, Essential, Device and Team Member licenses are available using the BTTC2 promotion. And as this is technically an addition to an existing, rather than new, tenant implementation you would need to provide the customer with a full priced BC Additional Environment add-on license.

MartijnElfersThank you for your reply, Microsoft did approve the BTTC2 offer so we are good on that front.🙂 I am just trying to verify the Production Environment question.
