Anybody knows what D365 BC - Embedded license is?
MartijnElfers this is what I heard back from the team:
- If you are an indirect reseller we recommend going to your Indirect Provider for licensing questions.

If this customer bought these licenses from an ISV as part of an industry solution that ISV is part of ISV Cloud Embed which gives them access to SKUs that TDSynnex wouldn't see. The customer cannot just "add" new products to those embed licenses working with TDSynnex because TDSynnex is not an ISV in this program.
I am just relaying what was shared with me, so if this doesn't make sense, let me know. This is not my area of expertise. 🙂

Thanks JillArmourMicrosoft! Looking into the program and reading the options and capabilities there, I can see that Embedded licenses are indeed a discounted SKU. Thus this would most probably be the reason why you can't just add a normal SKU as an attach to it (as the base pricing is set differently).
I also read that Sales Pro is not part of this program and thus not available as an Embedded SKU to attach to the BC Essentials Embedded license.
Seems that the customer has bad luck with this setup. Purchasing D365 BC Essentials Embedded does give them a discount for that SKU, but now they can't attach Sales Pro to their environment so they need to purchase that SKU for the full price now.
This would probably be more expensive than to purchasing normal BC Essentials with Sales Pro attach.
