Academic OVS-ES FTE count versus actual count

Looking to find out what has to be quoted via FTE count versus actual user/device count. I know the base product needs to be at FTE count.  What about Endpoint Configuration Manager?  I know that anything that can be purchased as a FTE, needs to be purchased that way, but Endpoint Configuration Manager may be different (or does it need to be licensed by FTE count as it is a component of the Core CAL?  There are two options:  Endpoint Config Manager per OSE and Endpoint Configuration Manager per user.  Are the requirements different for each?

  • Hello Jennie_Maier

Open Value Subscription for Education Solutions is not a program that I typically assist with.

I'm happy to try to assist, however, I'll need to clarify and make the question a bit more concise.  Are you asking for the requirements between Endpoint Config Manager per OSE and Endpoint Configuration Manager per user?

Also, the acronym OSE has several meanings within Microsoft.  Please clarify what you mean by OSE

      OSE is by operating system.
Yes, trying to find out if there are any requirements in licensing Endpoint Config Manager by Operating system or by user in an OVS Agreement. Can it be licensed by actual users or operating system or does it need to be licensed at FTE count? Thank you!
