Any Work arounds for not being able to share mailboxes across Multi-Tenant Organizations?

I think it is possible to be a member of another MTO tenants Microsoft 365 groups, and as such should be able to share the group mailbox. The tab Groups in New Outlook exposes groups with their respective group mailboxes, sharepoint sites and other resources. The group mailbox can be used as a shared mailbox of sorts with common calendar. It can also be followed in your own inbox. I am not 100% sure that this works, but I have not seen any info that says it won't work.
