M365 Business and Conditional Access
M365 Business does not include the ability to create conditional access rules. We are wondering if there was any specific reasons it was not included such as cost, complexity or MS felt for SMBs the risk was not the same. The price point of this product, $20/seat, is perfect so I would not want to see it go up but having 2-3 basic conditional access rules available would be ideal. These might be allow only authenticated devices, allow only from within North America and allow only from listed IP address ranges. We’ve sold about 150 Microsoft 365 Business licenses already… and I went to provision 28 users of M365B for a customer and had to abort and put them back on Office 365 Enterprise E3. Turns out M365B doesn’t support Shared Computer Activation which is used for many of our RDS customers. Looks like these M365B plans do not support shared computer activation (ie office apps on the remote desktop server). Can you please include in M365B the missing features that are contained with Office 365 Enterprise E3 on this attached list.. Especially Shared Computer Activation. Thanks! Microsoft 365 Business is recommended as a replacement for Client Backup removed from Windows 2019 Serverhttps://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server-essentials/get-started/what-s-new-19. I've not found any technical details regarding backup in Microsoft 365 Business. I need to backup 4-6 TB and 3 notebooks. I would like to know how backup and restore works with Microsoft 365. In the good old days, you'd use delprof.exe or delprof2.exe to delete unused user profiles from a laptop when using Active Directory accounts. So how do you do the same with Azure AD joined laptops? Sure, you can remove the user account from the Other users panel in settings but that does not delete the profile folder in C:\Users: This is the folder after removing that account: And the registry is still full of the account's settings.rob_nicholson_heliosAug 25, 2020Brass Contributor3KViews1like8CommentsCan't activation Windows 10 Home to Pro Upgrade for Microsoft 365 Business Cloud Solution Provider

Hi Guys, I've just spent countless hours on with support and their final analysis came back with the following: AIP P1 is enabled in M365B BUT you cannot encrypt emails (Outlook Mail Encryption) from within the Outlook desktop client. It is possible to do from with OWA but the desktop client does not have access to the Rights Management templates. They referenced this article which seems to match up with what they said. However, the M365B service description doesn't make this clear as AIP P1 is included so the assumption was that it was a full working version. This is also similar to Azure AD P1 -- M365B doesn't really have all of the features. Reference the section "Outlook in Office 365 subscriptions" https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Outlook-license-requirements-for-Exchange-features-46B6B7C5-C3CA-43E5-8424-1E2807917C99 Can someone help confirm my findings? I've been promoting OME to clients who will be converting to M365B so I might need to eat crow. Thank you.SolvedDavidWandererDec 10, 2018Iron Contributor2KViews0likes6CommentsTell us about yourself! Hi, DLP is supported in Microsoft 365 Business Premium but DLP policy tips in the outlook client don´t seem to be working. Is this by design because it contains Office Business apps (Microsoft 365 Apps for business now) and not pro plus? Hello, I'm about to roll outEMSfor our small business, and have a simple question about licensing. We have some users that are only used for email forwarding to groups of users. (support@domain.com) They are unlicensed and login is disabled. My thinking is that I should not need EMS license for these "users". Am I wrong to think like this?
