So I am doing some Live Training programs, and the "Video" output keeps reverting to 720p, even though I am feeding it 1080p through OBS virtual camera.
I want to use Screen Sharing, however there are Serious limitations on this. I have Videos that I am playing, as well as a Pre-Recorded Powerpoint presentation with the Animations, voice over, and interactions. Screen sharing, even with a Athlon Threadripper, 129gb ram, RTX-3090, and a small screen at 1080p, is only sending 4 to 5 Frames Per Second. I tried the Power Point live sharing from One Drive and All the voice overs, all the interactive slide interactions, laser pointer, ect, and all the Automated slide transitions and animations Do not play at all. I don't know why either.
So, I am resorting to using OBS Studio to Display Capture, Camera, Play Videos, and Audio Capture, and output a 1080p Virtual Camera that Teams is picking up.
It works, but a bandaid.
My internet connection is very good, 1gbps asynchronous fiber, my speed tests are 989mbs down and 985mbps UP, so I don't believe it s a Hardware or Bandwidth problem.
Any ideas to Force Teams to do better?
