robertaichner if you really would like to hear, then here are some..
How to analyze the call issue where call duration is e.g. two hours, but user had troubles only in middle of call and that takes 15 minutes. The current reports says the call quality was on good level as the average thresholds looks fine, but user is still complaining of it. There are only some of the maximum values which could indicate about the issues on the call.
For that problem I have tried to get understood for the following records on TAC, but so far no luck:
MediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Audio_JitterBufferDelayHistogram1
MediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Audio_frameBurstArrivalTimeSeries1
MediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Audio_frameJitterGapTimeSeries1
MediaLine_OutboundStream_Payload_Audio_SendSignalLevelHistogram1
MediaLine_NetworkDeviceState
Not even sure how to read those Histogram valus 😄
Other problem type is the synchronization between audio and video: Sometimes users are complaining that audio and video are out of the sync, but I have no idea how to identify such issue using already available reports/tools. So far I have tried to testing this by myself using a metronome app on the phone.
Sometimes it would also be good to be able to identify what modalities are used on the meeting/calls, and durations of them. To get better understand what has happen on during the meeting/call.
Also it would be nice to get some statistics to identify what error codes users are having and how often. Currently we are super blind for this as there are no centralized logging on Teams.
And sometimes we can see some error codes on the TAC when analyzing calls, but quite often that gives zero information.
And finally, I have tried to get understand why the resolutions on video changes on users when looking for resolution details:
MediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Video_VideoResolutionDistribution_CIFQuality/-HD720Quality/-VGAQuality/-HD1080Quality/etc..
The most obvious reason should be the bandwidth, but that is also too well hided.
For the CQD I have proposed all to go through this series: CQD training Series part 1: CQD Online Introduction - YouTube But perhaps there should be some update to this, and having a bit more complex examples? 😉
Perhaps there could be even more, but I believe this is already a bit too long 😄
