On September 23rd, Microsoft hosted its digital Migrate and Modernize Summit, where it announced new agentic AI tooling capabilities and richer investments for customers and partners on migration and modernization opportunities.

- Azure Migrate announced new agentic capabilities along with simplified, connected workflows that can help customers move faster and work smarter (Private Preview).
- GitHub Copilot announced new autonomous AI agent capabilities (GA) to help accelerate modernization and upgrades of Java and .NET apps. This capability reduces complexity and time to modernization from weeks to days, empowering developers to modernize apps drastically faster, with less risk and greater confidence.
- Azure Accelerate was announced to customers as the new Azure offering that brings together Azure Migrate and Modernize, Azure Innovate, and Cloud Accelerate Factory under one umbrella. The session highlighted the expanded and richer benefits and investments across the entire project lifecycle, with particular mention to benefits around migrating and modernizing to Azure.
