Hello Today, I tried hyperlinks that previously worked before and now they're not working. The path for the folder is d:\test\tech\dell\dell configurations When I click on the link it opens up in a tab on the Internet. I created a share for the folder, and it worked. I checked permissions and I have full rights to the folder. I also tried each one separately of the following syntax for the path "d:\sfd\tech\dell\dell configurations" <d:\sfd\tech\dell\dell configurations> d:\sfd\tech\dell\dell%20configurations I decided to change the folder name to Dell Configs and it seemed to work. I want to keep the original name if possible. Any idea what is happening with these hyperlinks, and how I can fix it? After an Office update, when I do a Print Preview it displays two pages. The current zoom is set at 77%. When I change it to 100% then it displays one page. When printing a current page, it's confusing when there are two pages on the screen. How do I change the default zoom in Print Preview to 100% so that it displays one page only? Thanks in advance.3.9KViews0likes4CommentsEquations no longer center correctly in a table created in Word
Hello, Since a Word update (November or December 2022), the mathematical formulas created in a table no longer center correctly. There is a slight and annoying shift to the left as soon as I use the equation editor, while this is not the case for normal text at all. I didn't have this problem before. Has anyone ever encountered this problem and been able to solve it? Here is a screenshot of the problem... I have already called Microsoft's online chat, but the technician was unable to solve the problem. He made me do a lot of manipulations that were ultimately useless. Thank you in advance for your help. I'm on an iMac M1 with MacOS Ventura 13.1 and I use Word 2019 for Mac, version 16.69.3.9KViews0likes12CommentsHow group family photos with their individual labels and create a concordance index.
I need help. I'm creating a large family photo book with thousands of photos. Each photo needs to be labeled with the names of the people in the photo. The label must be grouped with its label so I can move it around on the page or move it to different pages as I construct the book. Once I have all of the photos (with their respective labels) on their final page I want to use AutoMark to create a concordance index at the end of the book. I have tried 2 methods to create the index but have problems with each one. Please help. TEXT BOX. Put the names in a text box and group it with the photo. Problem: AutoMark will not search the text. FLOATING TABLE WITH ONE ROW Put the names in the table and position it under the photo. AutoMark will search the table. Problem: Can't group the table with the photo so it will be extremely difficult to move photos around and keep them with their label. Any ideas?Solved2.8KViews0likes10CommentsWord 2019 DELETE ENTIRE ENDNOTE SECTION
Wanted to add Bibliography after Endnotes and Page Break would not work. Therefor I went back and deleted the 40 endnotes one by one. I re-typed them without using the footnote mode, using superscript to place the footnote number after the word. I still could not use PAGE BREAK at the end of the document, but everything at least looked fine. BUT then I hit SELECT ALL and COPY, as I do not want to risk only having only the original word.doc. NOW on the copy a horizontal line appears at the top of each endnote page. I can not get rid of the line. At Microsoft Support, no one could figure out how to delete ALL THE ENDNOTES so that I could just continue typing normally at the end of the document. I am on a MacBook Pro, OS Mojave 10.14 and Word 2019 (the old version 16.54) There HAS to be a way just to delete the darned Endnote section so that it doesn't keep on coming back. Thanks for any suggestions!1.3KViews0likes3CommentsMac Word 2019 does not display MHTML images
I have a DOCX with a MHTML file with embedded image included in an altChunk element. The DOCX or MHTML itself is displayed in MS Word 2019 on Windows. However, MS Word 2019 for Mac shows text only, but not the images. Is it a Mac Word bug? E.g. see the attached DOCX file. Note: see also https://github.com/evidenceprime/html-docx-js/issues/129 Update: I've tried to create a text with an image in Mac Word, save as MHTML file. Close Word. Open Word and open the MHTML file - images are not visible, too. So, it's a Mac Word bug. Workaround: inline images using data: URI, i.e. <img src="data:image/png;base64,..."> However, the Word for Mac treats alpha channels as black in such inline images - another bug, so the image should not have alpha channel.748Views0likes0Comments
