Word 2019 DELETE ENTIRE ENDNOTE SECTION
Wanted to add Bibliography after Endnotes and Page Break would not work. Therefor I went back and deleted the 40 endnotes one by one. I re-typed them without using the footnote mode, using superscript to place the footnote number after the word. I still could not use PAGE BREAK at the end of the document, but everything at least looked fine. BUT then I hit SELECT ALL and COPY, as I do not want to risk only having only the original word.doc.
NOW on the copy a horizontal line appears at the top of each endnote page. I can not get rid of the line. At Microsoft Support, no one could figure out how to delete ALL THE ENDNOTES so that I could just continue typing normally at the end of the document. I am on a MacBook Pro, OS Mojave 10.14 and Word 2019 (the old version 16.54)
There HAS to be a way just to delete the darned Endnote section so that it doesn't keep on coming back. Thanks for any suggestions!

- If you upload a copy of the document, one of us will delete the endnotes from it for you.
If your document only contains one Section, you can insert a Next or New Page Section Break at the end of the document and set the Endnotes to be located at the end of what will then be the first Section of the document. The you can insert any other information, such as the Bibliography into Section 2 of the document, that is the Section after the Section Break.- projectsjhCopper ContributorFirst, thanks for the offer. I am an executive coach and the word.doc with multiple sections and 40 endnotes is for a client who is a little paranoid about security. (His credit card was once hacked.) He wants encryption (PGP - Pretty Good Privacy) or to use Proton secure e-mail. If he asks, as is his wont, whether anyone else could have seen the company strategy document, I would not be comfortable lying to him. Obviously, you would hardly be likely to sell the information to his competitors, but unfortunately that is not his attitude towards helpful persons on a forum.
Can't a computer layman like myself remove the Endnotes following your instructions step by step? (To repeat, am on a Mac, OS Mojave 10.14 and Word 2019, Version 16.54). Thanks again for your help.- Lenka_KerumovaIron Contributor
HEllo projectsjh ,
there are many things connected to what you describe and it would be very, very time consuming to put them all here. Although I usually prefer not to work with stranger's document, I second Doug in this.
Would it be possible for you to make a copy and replace the meaningful words with rubbish words?
I am sure the solution will be something anyone will be able to do, but in this case it would really help to have a little look at your document. L.
