I started getting the notice that my version of Windows will expire on August 11 three or four weeks ago. I would go to the Windows update under Settings/System and it would say NO updates are available. About a week ago It finally stated that update 25H2 was available. I would do the update numerous times since and each time I get an error code of 0xc1900101. looking that error code up on the internet said my EFI partition may need to be enlarged. When trying there sequence of steps, my system would not allow for the increasing of the partition. I Chatted with an individual today Aug 6, and she tried to run a couple of diagnostics and neither produced any meaningful results. She then gave a link to this site where she assured me the issue would be resolved. Oh and also she tried to download a new OS but it stopped before the entire MSI file downloaded. Any help/suggestions?117Views1like3CommentsWindows 11 Insider Setup fails with 0x800B0109 before UEFI disk layout error
Hello, I am unable to upgrade my Windows 11 Insider Preview installation using either Windows Update or the official Microsoft Insider ISO. Current build: Windows 11 Insider Preview 26200.8894 KB5121767 installed successfully UEFI boot Secure Boot enabled TPM 2.0 enabled The setup always ends with: "Windows can't be installed because this PC has an unsupported disk layout for UEFI firmware." However, the Panther logs indicate that this is not the first error. Setup fails while verifying the following Microsoft-signed files: Mitigation.dll Facilitator.dll Both fail with: 0x800B0109 PowerShell Get-AuthenticodeSignature also returns: Status: UnknownError "A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider." I have already verified: Official Microsoft Insider ISO SFC /scannow completed successfully DISM /RestoreHealth completed successfully Component Store is healthy Secure Boot enabled TPM 2.0 enabled Based on the logs, it appears that Setup fails during Authenticode verification before displaying the UEFI disk layout message. Has anyone seen this on recent Insider builds, or is this a known Setup issue? Thank you.124Views0likes3CommentsNo updates showing under Windows Insider Experimental / Future Updates channel

I am currently on the Windows Dev version (build 29576.1000), and the feature is not available for me. I would like to ask whether this feature can be enabled on my device, or when it will become available for this build.” (Full Screen Experience)85Views0likes2CommentsVerbose Status Improvement
Hi, I had a idea where for verbose status, you should make it so if its set to 2, it will display the verbose messages under shutdown or restart, example: Restarting (Stopping service: Windows Modules Installer) or make it next to it like Restarting (Stopping Service: Windows Modules Installer)100Views0likes3CommentsSystem Windows Ram Problem Fix
You’ve probably seen this happen — you leave your desktop or laptop running, and after a while the system starts eating a huge chunk of your RAM, even on modern hardware. Today I’m bringing a fix that removes this issue permanently and gives Windows back the speed, stability, and clean behavior it should have. By disabling two legacy predictive mechanisms (SysMain + Prefetch), the system stops aggressively caching applications, idle RAM usage drops significantly, and micro‑lags disappear. The attached screenshots show the system before and after applying the fix. This solution works on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and it’s safe, reversible, and the improvement is immediate. System Ram Before: System Ram After: Step‑by‑step guide (Windows 10 / 11 RAM issue fix) Note: This is a safe and fully reversible system tweak. You’re simply disabling two legacy predictive mechanisms that no longer make sense on modern hardware. 1️⃣ Disable the SysMain service Press Win + R Type services.msc → press Enter Find SysMain in the list Double‑click it Set Startup type to Disabled Click Stop if the service is running Confirm with Apply and OK 2️⃣ Disable Prefetch in the Registry Press Win + R Type regedit → press Enter Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters Find the value EnablePrefetcher Double‑click it and set the value to: 0 Confirm with OK 3️⃣ Restart your system After rebooting, your RAM usage in idle should drop noticeably, and the system will feel cleaner, faster, and more responsive. 4️⃣ How to revert (optional) If you ever want to undo the changes: SysMain: set Startup type back to Automatic and start the service EnablePrefetcher: set the value back to 3 (default) With my regular applications open, RAM usage dropped from 60–70% to just 33%. This is how Windows should have behaved from the beginning. On top of that, overall system responsiveness improved by roughly 50% — even weaker hardware feels noticeably faster almost immediately. This RAM regression has been around since Windows 7. After the kernel overhaul in Windows 8.1 it actually got worse, and it has followed every version of Windows all the way to today.
