Hi All, I'm having an issue where I'm trying to get One Drive to automatically log in when a user logs into a Windows 10 laptop using Group Policy. The windows laptops have conditional access configured and are hybrid joined, and I have confirmed when running 'dsregcmd /status' I can see "AzureAdJoined : YES". Through our on-premise GPO I've tried configuring Computer>Admin Templates>OneDrive and enabled and disabled the "Silently Sign in User into OneDrive" - with no luck. I've also tried adding the below registry keys. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\OneDrive] “SilentAccountConfig”=dword:00000001. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OneDrive] “EnableADAL”=dword:00000001 – This setting enables Modern Authentication for OneDrive. One thing to note is the on-premise UPN is different to that of the o365 email address used to log into MS apps. I would be very interested to know if anyone has managed to get this type of setup to work? No matter what I try, I find I have to launch One Drive manually and go through the setup screen. I enabled some of the other setting like disabling users from configuration folder location etc. with no luck. Any pointers or past experience dealing with this would be appreciated!257Views1like0CommentsWindows Mail App Bug - Not sending e-mails from Gmail accounts
Hello, everyone! I'm a long-term user of the Windows Mail and Calendar app, and it has always worked like a charm for me. However, something happened recently and now every time I try to send away an e-mail from a Gmail account, I got a message saying: "There was an error sending your message". Everything else works: I can read new e-mails normally, and the other e-mail services attached to the app still fully functional (Outlook, Office360, Yahoo). I also noticed that when I try to send an e-mail from a Gmail account, what I wrote goes to the "Draft" folder. I can even access the "draft" on the Gmail website, but when I open it, the formatation is completely crazy. I got a Dell XPS 13 9370, and I'm running the latest versions of both Windows 10 and the Mail and Calendar app. I've tried everything I could: 1) I removed the Gmail accounts and added them again but the problem persists; 2) I uninstalled and reinstalled the "Email and Calendar" app but the problem persists; 3) I disabled the antivirus and the firewall but the problem persists (I got a kaspersky); 4) I have already run system corruption checks at the command prompt, but nothing has been found; What should I do? This is the pop-up that appears (I'm a Brazilian user, so it is in Portuguese):Solved31KViews4likes33CommentsIt seems most of my Windows 10 apps exit immediately when trying to run them
I noticed Sunday, 8/19, that none of my Windows 10 store apps will run. When I try to run Calculator, Alarms, Store, they simply exit. I've tried to right click on apps in the menu, select info, and then reset, but nothing changes. I don't want to try uninstalling as I can't get to the store to reinstall. One exception seems to be Mail, which runs. But I noticed last week that I could not click on any links in an messages as it would just yield a nondescript error "Unable to open ..." I've rebooted and will soon start looking at restore points although I haven't made any recent changes I'm aware of. But before I delve into that, I wanted to see if there are nay other suggestions?1.1KViews0likes1CommentWrap WAC in electron or create a react native version for local installs
Jeff Woolslayer and the WAC team Please wrap WAC as an electron app for at least local installs. This would allow better performance for WAC, allow for use in restricted areas where web browsers are not allowed, allow for the use of SmartCards on local installs, and many more things. Everyone, I've already added this to a request yesterday on uservoice: https://windowsserver.uservoice.com/forums/295071-management-tools/suggestions/38982271-wrap-wac-in-electron-or-create-a-react-native-vers So please upvote it1.1KViews0likes0CommentsSkype for Business and Skype Windows 10 app can't connect
We've noticed an issue when Skype for Business users try to add Skype users who use the Windows 10 native/UWP app. The invitation to connect never shows up in the app and SfB just gets stuck at "Pending." The users cannot chat or call. SfB to Skype users still using the classic desktop application works just fine, with the invitation usually arriving within a few minutes. (I have not tested accepting the invite in the classic app and then trying the Windows 10 app. This isn't a suitable workaround for hosting external Skype calls and interviews) Has anyone seen this before? We've tried different accounts, different computers, reboots, and sign-outs. It's happened to a handful of users of both SfB and Skype, internal and external. We have no known reports of success with Sfb->Win10. I've tried to search online but haven't found the right keywords to indicate it's an issue in the Windows 10 app and not Skype in general.1.5KViews0likes2Comments
