Hello all I am a AutoCAD user having issues with Virtual Desktop. SOMETIMES not all the time does it happen and it is really frustrating when it doesn't work the way I am intending to. Sometimes it works great and it is not open when opening a new virtual desktop and I can have my outlook and chrome open with no AutoCAD overlay. When opening a new virtual desktop using the Windows key + CTRL + D command it sometimes opens with my currently open AutoCAD screen and AutoCAD will minimize on both desktops if minimized in either desktop. Its basically useless to use virtual desktops when this happens I could be in a single desktop and accomplish the same thing. Does anyone know what may be causing this or have a fix for it? Thank you!Solved10KViews0likes5CommentsCould we have a shortcut that just cycles between virtual desktops?
I'm just starting to use virtual desktops and it's odd that they are "in a line with ends" in the interface. If you only have two open and can't remember whether the one you're in now is "on the right" or "on the left", you have a 50% chance of the shortcut you choose doing nothing (referring to ctrl+Win+Right and ctrl+Win+Left). Is there a reason that continuing to press one shortcut doesn't cycle back around to the other side of a "loop"? Could something like "Ctrl+Win+Up" be used to just cycle through desktops, or maybe switching to the most recent other desktop like "Win+Tab" used to do for "most recent Window"? Sorry if this is in the wrong place or a duplicate. I'll gladly re-ask it elsewhere if needed.6.3KViews1like1CommentNo Virtual Netwerk available when adding VM's to hostpool
Hello *Issue is resolved, "fix" at bottom of post* I'm trying to add Virtual Machines to a hostpool but I am unable to select a virtual network. I've set up a trial subscription with Azure ADDS, connected it with a vnet, set up dns, etc. When I create a standalone VM I can select the VNET without a problem but when trying to pick a virtual network when adding a new VM to the WVD hostpool, it says "no items available". Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this? Please note I am using the hostpool (preview) in Azure. Not the template from the marketplace. Thanks in advance. Update: I "fixed" it by creating a new VNET in US East and changing my VM location to US East, which made me able to select the US East VNET. I changed the VM location back to West Europe and can now select the West Europe vnet... Somewhat strange..5.5KViews0likes1CommentDigital event: Windows Virtual Desktop Master Class

Hello Background: OS: Windows 10 21H2 Type: Multi-session Remote Type: Remote App/Full Desktop Profile: Roaming using FSLogix AD: Active Directory Hosted in Azure (IaaS) Windows 2016 The issue happens random end-user/s. When the user signs-off from remote app and logs back in around 30mins or so, the end-user experience slow logging in the session. Never had an issue with this before and now it requires to force logout the idle sessions. Any idea how to fix this or had the same experience? Highly appreciate your responses/comments. Hello, I am looking for clarification regarding the licensing of virtual desktops with an on premise Windows VM host server. I know with Windows Standard Server licensing this includes the ability to create two virtual windows servers with one license. How does this work for virtual desktops? For example, if I wanted to create 5 virtual desktops on my on premise host server, what type of licensing would be required? ThanksSolved1.5KViews0likes2CommentsHow to add a second hostpool to WVD?
Hi Guys, I need an extra help. We have setup a POC Virtual desktop with 10 Virtual Machines (Personal Disk) and everything is working well. Now we need to add 20 virtual server/users on the current or create a new hostpool but the result was failed. We followed this link: http://www.rebeladmin.com/2019/04/step-step-guide-azure-windows-virtual-desktop-preview/ Do you have any idea how to extend that? Thanks and Regards,1.1KViews0likes1Commentper user time zone settings AVD Windows 11 multi-session
Hi, trying to achieve something we thought and would expect to be quite simple, but it doesn't seem to be! We have an AVD environment running Windows 11 multi-session and FSLogix. All apps are fine, everything works fine other than changing time zone. When a user changes their time zone (via Windows > Time & Language) the setting does not persist once the user logs out and logs back in. When a user logs back in the time zone doesn't keep the time zone that the user changed to previously. Does anyone know why? We have the 'Allow time zone redirection' group policy setting set to 'Not Configured' and have also tried Enabled\Disabled. Any help would be appreciated thanks.747Views1like1Comment
