I have an active Microsoft 365 subscription. My wife and I share Microsoft To Do lists. We recently noticed a synchronization issue: When she creates/deletes/updates tasks, they sync to me. When I create/update tasks, they don’t sync to her. When I delete tasks, they are deleted for her. We’ve already signed out and back in, and tested on different devices and platforms. Hello First of all, I think that Workspaces in Edge is a very useful feature! Edge also has vertical tabs, which makes it the best tool for researchers using hundreds of tabs. I think other browsers can learn from this. With Workspaces, I can move windows I don’t currently use aside and open them again when needed without loading to RAM. Other browsers lack this feature, so I moved to Edge from Chrome. Edge is now my main tool for ongoing online research. However, after some months of use, I see that there are bugs that make me frustrated. With Workspaces, Edge is slow, it freezes, fails to synchronize, and reverts changes. 1. It does not update tabs and moves new tabs to the end. Let’s say that I have opened tabs: New Tab, facebook.com, A, B, C, D, E Later, I open links in new tabs from New Tab, Facebook, and A and leave them open. The tabs are: New Tab, msn.com/F, facebook.com, G, A, A2, B, C, D, E After some time, Workspaces synchronize, there is a short or longer Edge freeze. Then I see tabs are reorganized and F, G, H moved and changed addresses. The tabs are now: New Tab, facebook.com, A, B, C, D, E, New Tab, l.facebook.com/l.php?u=G, A2 It looks like Workspaces never update opened tabs when there was redirection through New Tab or l.facebook.com/l.php?u= or any other redirection on other websites. It only stores the first address it sees. When I refresh these tabs to see the description and go to the proper addresses, it still reverts it back! After I organize the order properly, it sometimes stays or is reverted back! This is frustrating when you need order and proper descriptions! 2. It is terribly slow, especially after opening another Workspace. I also encountered long freezes of Edge when opening another Workspace window or at random, probably when it synchronizes (a red dot appears next to the workspace name). Sometimes I have to wait 5 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes I’m losing patience! I have plenty of PC power (12-core Ryzen 3900X, 32GB RAM, Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB) and when I check Process Hacker, I see that Edge isn’t using 100% of CPU, but still is frozen. I noticed that when it’s frozen, there are around 200 disk writes, fast changing, 9MB/s total: C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Sync Data\LevelDB\256443.ldb ... ( edge_workspace_disk.xls ) When LevelDB writes stop, Edge is unfrozen. I’ve given msedge.exe processes high priority, but it doesn’t solve anything. I noticed this on previous versions starting from 122. I use Stable and Beta (to have two separate profiles) on PC and laptop. I waited hoping it will be solved, but nothing changed. It's possible that developers only tested Workspaces with a limited number of tabs and not with power users like myself, who manage 10 workspaces with 200-600 tabs in each. The consistent unreliability suggests there may be unresolved bugs present in each version. Workspaces sometimes stop syncing randomly and without notification. Occasionally, I notice a mismatch in the workspace between the PC and the laptop I use. If I close the workspace without checking, I will loose the tabs opened since the last sync! There's no notification, I must check if everything is synced or manually compare the opened tabs in the same workspace and then open them manually. After arranging them in the original order, I return to bug #1, which causes a mess when Edge moves tabs around. 4. Issues with Accessing Workspaces. This issue has occurred to me several times and is common among many users: "Error: Unable to load workspaces." Now please tell me that Workspaces aren't still in beta phase. The issue of having the 'shared folder turned into an internet shortcut' was solved for me a week ago. as both of the accounts are migrated on new OneDrive (V2) but I'm facing another issue even after migrated to the v2. The problem is, In Windows OneDrive SYNC client, from its settings/account/choose folder, the 'shared folder' is not showing over there. Therefore, I can't choose which folder/file to sync (selective sync that's called), and all the other unnecessary folders into that shared folder, which I don't need or require, are being synced and downloaded on daily basis, eating my bandwidth as well as storage space. I mailed this issue to MSFT but they didn't respond with anything conclusive, except asking to uninstall/reinstall/reset OneDrive, which I already did everything, so posting it here. has anyone else faced or experiecning this same issue? Sometimes when I schedule hybrid meetings in Outlook (Attendees can join through MsTeams or onsite in a meeting room) using the room finder tool, even when I get confirmation that the resource/meeting room is accepted as reserved, I run into these issues: 1. The onsite meeting room added shows as invited under "required", but is not listed under "location" and I have no drop down options to add it. 2. The location field updates to including both MsTeams and the booked meeting room and both can be seen when you open the invitation: but in calendar/week view only the MsTeams option shows as location: Instead of like this: It happens randomly and only on occasion, but it prevents invitees from knowing there is a room booked they can join if onsite so I'm hoping to find a solution to make sure both locations show from now on.1.3KViews0likes2CommentsMicrosoft To-Do Unable to sync (Win, Android, Web application)
Hi, very strange problem with To-Do what makes it useless. I've got "Unable to sync" information on Windows app, Android app and, what is really strange, also in web application (it's under right-top question mark icon). I used it since few months and it works great. Few days ago stopped. Removed all data on all systems, logout everywhere and delete apps. It changes nothing. After fresh installations problem still exists. Even on different devices. Deleted also all tasks in old Outlook tasks, changed password... nothing helps. When I added second account in To-Do Windows app it works ok. Mine account isn't. Technical support after few email didn't give me any advice how to solve it - just some links how can I restore lost tasks (it's not problem - I want sync back again). I think web application (https://to-do.microsoft.com) sync problem is something what can be first element to think about. Can you please help me? Hello everyone, I am logged in with my company domain and now the contacts and mails are not syncing, there is a red error showing which should be a tick meaning that it is synced. Tried restarting the device, not worked Cleared cache app data force stopped it, not worked. Check app settings, not helpful. Cannot uninstall it as it will ask for admin credentials. Hi all, I have supposedly linked my MS Teams account correctly with Google Calendar. I did so in the Mobile App. The calendar shows here. I have checked (with significant log-in issues ;)) the Web App. It also shows here. However, the calendar does not show up in the Mac OS Desktop App and I also have no option here to link or refresh. Hi, I think I found a bug in Android Edge Enterprise Sync that affects all AAD account. Chromium-based browser has a "push"-like mechanism to handle sending a tab across session. This feature works when "Notifications Enabled" under edge://sync-internals has the status of True. (Semi-related old bug on the upstream: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=42145) When it is inactive (status False) pages you sent to target device will not trigger any notification (user click on the notification to open the sent URL); you have to go to settings to initiate sync to make the notification appears. I tested three different AAD account from different tenants and found out that "Notification Enabled" is always false when signed-in to Edge Android. Further triaging suggests that this bug: Only affects AAD account. MSA account has "Notification Enabled" = true. Only affects Edge Android. Windows and Linux Edge has "Notification Enabled" = true Happens on Edge Android stable (100.0.1185.50) and Play Store Beta/Insider (102.0.1245.12). When "Notification Enabled" = true I get the sent page/tab within few seconds, which is great. Sadly this never happens with Edge Android + AAD account. I have tried to file bug report via in-app "send feedback" quite few while back, no response. More recently, I submitted a support ticket, but got brushed off as business support case and suggested to pay minimum to $95 just to report a bug, which is silly. Dear Microsoft community, I am unable to install the onedrive app on my mac again. It is showing the same error everytime that "unable to install onedrive folder [name] at this moment", please try again later". I am unable to find any solution related to this issue on internet. I have checked all the settings and nothing worked out for my case. I have talked to the IT support from the institution and they are unable to fix it. Please help me in this issue.
