I've been testing and using this feature for as long as the new Edge has been around, without parallel downloading flag (edge://flags/#enable-parallel-downloading), the download speed is unbelievably slow, with the flag enabled, it's only slightly better. I don't know how many concurrent connections Edge makes to the download server with this flag on, but it's very broken. for example, download speed of a file in Edge is only 500 KB/s with parallel downloading on, with a download manager like Free Download Manager, the speed is 10x faster. I'm aware that this is depended on the network conditions of each user and my experience can't be universal and experienced by everyone, but the simply fact that a download manager with 6 to 8 concurrent (parallel) connections can fully utilize my Internet bandwidth, and Edge can't do this, is a problem. this is not something to be fixed with a simple browser reinstall or even related to OS. throughout the past 2 years I've done these countless times, literally. I'm sending feedback about it using the feedback button on Edge, if you're reading this and want download speed to be improved in Edge, please do the same and in the feedback URL add the link to this post for full description, thank you24KViews7likes10CommentsBottom Download bar lag 4-5sec
See the green progress bar in the edge icon has already started but download bar is not appearing yet there is aleast 4-5 sec lag which is not tolerable(400-500ms is OK). To reproduce this lag try downloading a file from OneDrive/Google Drive with a bunch of tabs. (*I have not closed the downloads bar) (*In built gamebar doesnot record the taskbar and I donot want to waste time in installing a screen recorder because it is very easy to reproduce)6.1KViews0likes24CommentsLastPass Vault is slow as a turtle
I've got over 300 passwords and login entries in my Lastpass Vault, opening it in Edge slows down the browser to a point that each scroll has 2 seconds delay, it's painfully annoying. the CPU usage doesn't even go that high. Version 81.0.363.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) I7 7700K CPU, Windows 10 latest version.4.4KViews0likes6CommentsSlow tab closing
When I try to close tabs when other tabs are still loading there is a noticeable delay between when I hit Ctrl+w/ click x and when the tab closes. From what I can tell it seems that closing a tab requires cpu and when usage is high, it has to wait for space to open up. Has anyone else noticed this issue or have any solutions?4.2KViews4likes4CommentsWindows Server 2016 Intermittently Slow
Hi So I have two Windows Server 2016 (1607) they are RDS servers they do run SQL but the CPU is not massively high on them. The both run on ESXi 6.5. Latest hardware and tools applied. Both servers run the same AV the same FW rules, etc. They connect to a file server which is running Windows Server 2019 (1809). For some reason only one of the RDS servers will be a pain. The other one will run fine. So for example: 01 - Fine 02 - Painfully slow Logging on to 01 takes around 5 seconds. Logging on to 02 takes around 3 minutes - stuck on either applying the printer GPO or the drive mapping GPO. When logged in people will get a blue wheel when accessing file shares or such like. The file shares will just hang when browsing but then return fine. On the other server it's fine. I've checked and they're both running SMBv3 to all connections that I can see. I have completely ran out of ideas on what could be causing this. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!2.6KViews1like4CommentsIntel graphics driver in Windows Update for IGPU I7 7700K is OUTDATED

Hi there, We are experiencing big problems when uploading files through OneDrive Client to our Sharepoint on Prem Server (2019). As far as we can tell, everything is working fine with an older OneDrive Client (e.g. 21.220.1024.0005) but as soon as we use a current one (any Ring) the upload is incredible slow. Downloads are working without an issue. If we add a new file to the local Folder (50MB), we can see big amount of data being transferred over the network: ~350-400Mbit/s targeting the SharePoint server. The same utilization we experience on the SharePoint Server. Also the OneDrive Client shows approx. the same value: And if we look at the OneDrive Details it shows fast and good process and counting the MBs, but after a second or two it starts from scratch again. And this continues like that until the upload is done, which takes an hour for a file with 50MB. Upload to SharePoint Online is working without any issues and with good speed. I couldn't find any major changes in the OneDrive release history or something showing a problem in combination with OneDrive and Sharepoint Server. Has anyone got some tipps or any idea where so search for the mistake? Thank you for your help!!1.7KViews0likes2CommentsWhat to Kill first when things get slow?
It is not rare for things to start to feel slow on my PC. When they do, I go to task manager and start killing the resource hogs like Edge and Teams. I do not know if it really helps. Does it? Do guidelines exist for handling tasks when my PC starts to feel slow?Solved1.5KViews1like4Comments
