Download speed on Edge is too slow - Parallel downloading is broken
I've been testing and using this feature for as long as the new Edge has been around, without parallel downloading flag (edge://flags/#enable-parallel-downloading), the download speed is unbelievably slow, with the flag enabled, it's only slightly better. I don't know how many concurrent connections Edge makes to the download server with this flag on, but it's very broken. for example, download speed of a file in Edge is only 500 KB/s with parallel downloading on, with a download manager like Free Download Manager, the speed is 10x faster. I'm aware that this is depended on the network conditions of each user and my experience can't be universal and experienced by everyone, but the simply fact that a download manager with 6 to 8 concurrent (parallel) connections can fully utilize my Internet bandwidth, and Edge can't do this, is a problem. this is not something to be fixed with a simple browser reinstall or even related to OS. throughout the past 2 years I've done these countless times, literally. When I try to close tabs when other tabs are still loading there is a noticeable delay between when I hit Ctrl+w/ click x and when the tab closes. From what I can tell it seems that closing a tab requires cpu and when usage is high, it has to wait for space to open up. Has anyone else noticed this issue or have any solutions?
Windows Server 2016 Intermittently Slow
Hi So I have two Windows Server 2016 (1607) they are RDS servers they do run SQL but the CPU is not massively high on them. The both run on ESXi 6.5. Latest hardware and tools applied. Both servers run the same AV the same FW rules, etc. They connect to a file server which is running Windows Server 2019 (1809). For some reason only one of the RDS servers will be a pain. The other one will run fine. So for example: 01 - Fine 02 - Painfully slow Logging on to 01 takes around 5 seconds. Logging on to 02 takes around 3 minutes - stuck on either applying the printer GPO or the drive mapping GPO. When logged in people will get a blue wheel when accessing file shares or such like. The file shares will just hang when browsing but then return fine. On the other server it's fine. I've checked and they're both running SMBv3 to all connections that I can see. On Windows 10 build 20H1 Stable And also on build 19042.330 (slow/beta) ring, the graphic driver that is automatically installed from Windows Update is extremely Outdated. the latest version is 27.20.100.8280 which is officially available on Intel website. but the version that gets installed automatically from Windows Update is 26.xxxxx Feedback Hub: https://aka.ms/AA8r3yx
