Hacked Microsoft Account Recovery with Semi Access
I'm at a complete loss and it is infuriatingly ridiculous. I am entirely unable to get a hold of a human being at Microsoft and am being turned down by automated responses nonstop. So here's what's happening: My Microsoft account has been hijacked (obviously not this one) for its valuable Minecraft account and has now been sold. I am logged into my account via my PC, have full access of the main email address, but I have been locked out of my account using the alias email. Whenever I want to log in to my account, it wants to instead send a code to an email address I do not own and can't access. I have tried the Sign-In Helper, the Recovery Form, the hotline, the support email without any result, let alone a non-automated response. I sadly don't have the Recovery Code of my 15 year old-ish account. Since I still have full access of my email address I get updates of security info being changed and what not. Last month a stranger sent me screenshots of someone trying to sell my Minecraft account, for which I myself have received multiple buying offers, and voila yesterday I received notification of my alias mail address changing followed by Minecraft server apps being added to my Microsoft account. While I had already given up retrieving my account, whenever I get notifications my heart sinks a new while some hope sparks up again. Do you people have any idea of what I could do? I don't even rule out legal actions at this point. While I do of course have the email address of the hijacker and the buyer, I fear that contacting them results in me being locked out permanently. I'm just begging to catch the attention of anyone involved with Microsoft. This being walled out with automated responses is killing me.Web-signin 3rd party IDP not working
We have a working Entra ID SAML federation to a third-party IdP that uses FIDO2/WebAuthn (IdP as Relying Party) for browser sign-in, and we are trying to use the same federation through Windows Web sign-in on an Entra-joined Windows 11 device — but the IdP page loads blank in the WebView and Microsoft-Windows-WebAuthN/Operational records zero events, while the same security key works fine for FIDO2 sign-in with login.microsoft.com as RP on the same device. Questions: - Is WebAuthn brokering to third-party Relying Parties inside the Web sign-in WebView supported? - If not, is it on the roadmap? - What is the supported architectural path for delivering passwordless Windows sign-in using a federated IdP's own FIDO2/WebAuthn credentials, given Graph API passkey provisioning is Beta-only?
SSO from PingOne to Entra app failing; Not matching on sub value and can't find by email
I am trying to implement SSO from PingOne to my Azure app I have registered in Entra External ID. When I don't have the PingOne account pre-provisioned, the sign-in flow provisions the account but with a bad value for the "Issuer" (the tenant id is incorrectly appended to the end of the issuer URL). This leads to a AADSTS500208 error. If I use Graph API to pre-provision the user with the proper "Issuer" URL, I get a message on the Entra prompt that says "Account Already Exists. Click next to sign in". Clicking Next gives the following error message: We couldn't find an account with this email addressMicrosoft Feedback Portal account is not working
I changed my Microsoft password a year ago, and it updated everywhere other than the Feedback Portal. As a result, I get an error when I try to login, or do anything on the page. Microsoft account support's suggestion was to login to the Feedback Portal which is insane given I'm having issues accessing it. How can I get this issue resolved? I've got three separate support tickets now and they keep asking me to wait 24 hours to get the issue resolved. Can someone from the Feedback Portal team please contact me to resolve this?" This is what Microsoft Support have said: "understand your frustration, and yes—this is an account‑related issue because the Feedback Portal is still tied to your old alias, which causes login conflicts and forces you out. Your Microsoft account itself signs in correctly, but the Feedback Portal is pulling outdated identity data that you cannot update on your own. Since you cannot access the Portal to submit feedback, directing you back there is not a workable solution. What you need is for Support to escalate this to the internal Identity/Feedback Platform engineering team so they can manually correct the outdated alias mapping on the backend. In this situation, the Feedback Portal and Tech Community teams are the ones who manage and maintain that specific platform. Because the issue appears on the Feedback Portal side—even though your Microsoft account is working normally—only their dedicated team can make the necessary corrections on their end. That’s why we are guiding you to connect with them through the links provided: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/ or https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback. They will be able to review the portal‑specific account data and assist you further. I understand why this is frustrating. Since you’re unable to stay signed in to the Feedback Portal, I completely see why posting there isn’t possible for you. However, I do need to be transparent: I’m not able to escalate this issue directly to the Feedback Portal team, as they don’t provide internal escalation channels for us and only accept requests through their own platform. Graph http 449 throttled
We are experiencing a lot of Microsoft Graph trolling errors from some of our applications that are hosted in Azure Web App Services and other third party such as Front App to name one. I am trying to find an approach or strategy to figure out and narrow down what may be causing so many of these events. Whether I can narrow down by application or process, I am not sure yet. We enforce MFA on all our users, but of course, on Azure Enterprise Applications, we don't, which are used extensively in our ecosystem of apps. Any help is much appreciated here.
Nested App Authentication (NAA) token to protect middle-tier server
I'm working on an outlook addin and want to use the NAA accesstoken to validate the user on an api running on a php webserver. The addin runs as a taskepane (created with yo office) with the app only manifest. I have setup NAA to do Microsoft graph calls on behalf of the user. I have used this guid to setup NAA (copy/past) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/develop/enable-nested-app-authentication-in-your-add-in I have setup a php server (not in Microsoft infrastruktur) for a simple API, that handlers MySQL calls and app only calls to Microsoft graph. The php api authenticate itself with a client secret from the Azure app registration. Both are working as expected. Can i use the accesstoken from the NAA, to authenticate the user on the php server? If it can be done how do I validate the token?User with hundreds of Interactive Sign-In log entries that are "Interrupted"
I have one user in our organization that has hundreds of Interactive Sign-in logs in EntraID that are marked as "Interrupted". I don't even know where to start with the user. Does anyone have a recommendation for isolating the cause of these logs? Recent entries are 95% related to Office Online Core SSO application.
Authenticator app not working on new phone - old phone with app is gone
Hello Tech Community, I have trouble with my email (hotmail) account. About 12 months ago I downloaded and activated the authenticator app after having hackers trying to enter my hotmail account. A few months ago I changed my phone and I have never been asked for second factor authentication until today (so I did not pay much attention to it as I could see it. The phone number attached is old and have no access to it and that device is long gone too). BIG PROBLEM! I have the app on my new phone but it is not linked to my account (and cannot do a Cloud Recovery). If I try to do anything with my account (forward emails or change anything) it asks me for the authenticator approval/code (that I do not have access to). I am scared about doing something that will log me out of my email (which I still have access to) but cannot make any changes nor log out. Please help. Can I deactivate the authenticator app somehow? or re-set it-up to work again? Can I migrate all my emails to a new account so I do not lose years of information if I get logged out? Can I set the forwarding emails option without having to pass by second facto authentication? Looking forward to hearing from you wise community, Thank you
