I got a new Windows 10 computer. Previously, I have used Excel 2016 with no issues. What I need to do is print a workbook in Excel (multiple worksheets) double sided. For example, sheets 1-3 are on one tab, while sheet 4 is on another. When I print, I would generally click, "print entire workbook" which then takes my document from 3 pages to 4. Pages one and two print double sided no problem, but no matter what I do, pages 3 & 4 will not print duplex. Other than printing to pdf (which saves it, then I have to open that document and print from there which is a PAIN), can I print those 4 pages onto 2, or am I stuck? I have searched the internet to no avail. Thanks!62KViews0likes11CommentsGeneral Mail Failure when trying to share as pdf in Excel 2013
Hello Can anyone help to resolve this issue? We can still successfully email files in xlsx format. I can still save as pdf. The only problem is to share as pdf from Excel ( it works in Word) We have Excel 2013 installed on Windows 10. I have already tried: checking that Outlook 2013 is default reinstalling Office restore point to the date when everything worked was corrupted and was deleted by the system running Mapifix15KViews3likes7CommentsView Previous Excel Spreadsheet Version in SharePoint Online without Restoring
Due to the new AutoSave option in Excel (which I've turned off by default) my colleagues are inadvertently making changes to Excel spreadsheets that they're essentially only trying to review. My guess (from speaking with them) is that they're just enabling certain table filters or slicers in the data, or perhaps resorting records as they review certain spreadsheets. However, I can't really be sure that no data has changed and that has me concerned. Ultimately, I want to compare their version with the previous version to review what has changed. While Microsoft Word for Office 365 has great mechanisms for doing this, understandably spreadsheets are a different beast and that sort of web-based comparison doesn't seem to be available yet. What I'd like to be able to do is take the previous version (download it if I have to) and compare it against the current version. And in the long-term I've reduced the permissions for the document library folder so more people have just "View" permissions but no "Edit" permissions. Here is a image of screenshots that shows what I'm running into. https://www.screencast.com/t/1bT6y33C0t Any help for a better workflow or suggestions on what we should be doing would be appreciated. This is pricing documentation and while I want people to quickly review it, I don't want any edits to be made unless they're reviewed by multiple people and approved.15KViews0likes9CommentsSharing in Excel Online in OneDrive - Pivot table slicers don't appear in Android web browser
I'm having a strange problem with Excel online, and here is my example sheet for you to try: https://1drv.ms/x/s!AhTZr-GdLCi2aRKYt60Nt5j7cT0 In a browser on a desktop computer (in my case Chrome) it looks like this, and the slicers work as they are meant to: However, when I open the same link on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S5, Chrome) the slicers don't appear, and there is no placeholder like you sometimes get when slicers don't render: Why are the slicers not displaying on mobile, and what can I do to fix the problem? By contrast, if you choose to open the file in 'Excel' on the mobile, which is the mobile Excel Android app as opposed to Excel Online... ...you get the following warning becase slicers aren't supported: It's all very confusing. What I don't understand is why slicers won't appear when viewed in browser on my mobile phone. On my Android tablet the slicers appear to work fine, using the same link! Hello all, In Excel 2010, I have selected the Power Query Tab > (Get External Data) From Other Sources Button > From Sharepoint List Button. Entered my site's URL and am prompted with 3 options: Anonymous, Windows or Microsoft Account. On this Microsoft link, it states that there should be a 3rd option, Organizational Account: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Connect-to-a-SharePoint-List-Power-Query-3226f248-f8b3-4777-82ce-b4ed04dedaaf#ID0EAADAAA=2010-2013 This seems like the option I would need considering an Organizational Log-in is required to access this site. Is there a way to link my Organizational log-in to the Microsoft Account option? If so, when I click on Sign In from the Microsoft Account Option I receive this error "The WWW-Authenticate header doesn't contain a valid authorization URI. Header value: 'NTLM'." Help is greatly appreciated, thanks so much. -Rich6KViews0likes0CommentsShare it: Embed an Excel workbook on your web page or blog from OneDrive

When I save an excel workbook selection as a webpage it crashes excel and recovers. This happens on more than 1 pc. In a few instances I am able to save it. But when I publish it to our site, the document is blank or refers to files missing. I am quite puzzled by Excels actions. This should be just a simple saved data document that opens with a hyperlink. Am I missing something? Also, I am using Office 2016 Excel Sincerely, Tony Waters2.4KViews0likes5CommentsFind and Replace not working in Protected Excel Workbook (for unlocked cells)
I have noticed a new issue in the desktop version of excel (v16.13.1) - I am working on Mac. I have a protected workbook with protected sheets and some unlocked cells which contain plain text. With the older version (before 2018) I was able to still use find & replace to quickly correct mistakes in these text cells, even though the overall workbook was locked (and sheet was protected) -The cells I want to be able to edit are unlocked and can be edited by clicking into them one by one. Since the new update, I can no longer use find/replace or the spell check option. I hope this is an update oversight and will be fixed soon!2.3KViews0likes0Commentsalert on External Sharing event
I'm trying to create an alert that will inform Security team on External Sharing event from Teams. I found that there are some controls over SharePoint and then some Activity Types related to sharing... but I don't know what each of this action means and how to narrow down to only 'external sharing'? - is there detailed documentation describing each Action Type for each App? - how distinguish between external/internal? thx!2.1KViews0likes1Comment
