2 TopicsWord online - reviewing mode results in reload error
I have asked this in the word hub, but thought I'd also try my luck here. I was today year's old when I learned that Reviewing mode in Word online/web is the equivalent of track changes when using Word online, on its own, or inside of Teams. I now understand that when you put a document into Reviewing mode, it tracks your own changes only, but that you can change this to track for everyone by going to Review > Track Changes > For Everyone. The problem we are encountering is that when someone puts it into Reviewing mode for themselves or for everyone, it results in a reload error telling us our changes are lost and it reverts back to editing mode. What's the solution here? Also is there a way to make it default to track changes for everyone when you toggle to Review mode?Solved1.8KViews0likes1CommentAutocorrect "Replace text as you type" no longer working in comments
I'm a college English professor. I've been using MS Word's Reviewing features for years (decades?) to offer feedback on student essays. I mainly make bubble comments in the margins of the document (CMD-OPT-A or Insert > Comment). Until recently, my Autocorrect "Replace text as you type" feature was working in the comments (my fumbly fingers mistype things like "differnet" and I've even added some shortcuts like "dangmod" to "dangling modifier"). But as of maybe a few months ago, my comments no longer autocorrect. I haven't changed any settings, and the function works in the body text of the document. I have a 2023 Macbook Pro running Sequoia 15.7.1, and I'm using MS Word for Mac Version 16.101.3. Anybody have the solution for this? I've spent years training myself to use MS Word's Reviewing so I can be very efficient with my time (I know all the keyboard shortcuts, etc.), but if autocorrect no longer works, I'll probably just switch to Google Docs or something. Thanks for any help you can give.11Views0likes0Comments
