Hi Currently we using MS Booking so our students register for the exam. We plan to make is "self serve" so time of the instructor is not required. A meeting got the option "Record and transcribe automatically". I would like to turn it on via API. Is that possible? I checked https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/bookingappointment-update?view=graph-rest-1.0 and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/bookingbusiness-post-appointments?view=graph-rest-1.0&tabs=http to see if there is any property for "recording" but did not find anything.Solved35Views0likes1CommentUnable to view and access the Recording on MS Teams
I am writing to report an urgent issue regarding a very important meeting recording hosted by our team. The recording is critical for our ongoing work. However, we are unable to access it. Hello, I am working on building a compliance recording feature on Teams Phone Mobile. I have a specific scenario where I would like to get inputs from the community. Scenario: Enterprise customer has Teams Phone Mobile solution from the Operator with compliance recording enabled. If for any reason, Microsoft Teams is down the operator has built a capability at network level that the users can continue to do regular mobile calls. Questions: Considering, that the compliance recording is enabled for the Teams Phone Mobile user. Now, since Teams is down the recording bot won’t join the call, but the call still connects without being recorded. This would be a violation. Is this understanding, correct? If the understanding is correct, can this be controlled within the Teams security group policies, or the operator will have to control it at network level i.e. if Teams is down any call does not connect?35Views0likes0CommentsTeams Meeting recordings not accessible to invitees
Teams meeting recordings (OneDrive) for scheduled meetings are not being shared to all invited. Instead, the file is only being shared to people who attended the meeting. I've tested this a few times and gone through the lists to verify that the people that did not attend the meeting do not have access. If this is by design, this is a significant oversight by Microsoft. Previously in Stream, the recording was shared to everyone in the invite. Now with the move to OneDrive, this means going through the attendee list and comparing to who was invited, then manually going to the OneDrive recording, modifying the sharing, and adding each of the people that did not attend the meeting. Most meeting recordings in our organization are needed for the people who missed the meeting, and by default they cannot access. What a pain for any meeting larger than a few people! Microsoft's documentation does not match the behavior: "People invited to the meeting, except external users, will automatically be granted permission to the recording file with view access without ability to download." https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/cloud-recording Please tell me there's a powershell setting for this somewhere...52KViews4likes26CommentsHow to Enable ‘Record Automatically’ by Default for All Teams Meetings?
Hello Teams Community, I'm seeking information about administrator controls for meeting recordings in Microsoft Teams. Specifically, I want to know: Is there a way for a Microsoft Teams admin to configure the default 'Record automatically' setting for new meetings, so that it is turned on by default, without requiring users to navigate through custom meeting templates? Current Situation: Our organization requires most meetings to be recorded for compliance and documentation purposes Currently, users must manually start recording or remember to enable the "Record automatically" option when scheduling each meeting We're aware that meeting templates can include this setting, but this requires additional steps from our users What We're Looking For: A tenant-wide or admin-level setting to make "Record automatically" the default for all new meetings The ability to apply this setting without users having to select specific meeting templates Ideally, a solution that works when meetings are created from various entry points (Outlook, Teams calendar, etc.) Solutions Already Explored: Custom meeting templates with "Record automatically" enabled (not ideal as it adds steps for users) Meeting policies (haven't found options specific to default recording settings) Has anyone successfully implemented such a configuration, or is this capability currently unavailable in Teams? Any insights from Teams administrators or Microsoft representatives would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!1.8KViews2likes1CommentIdentifying the Presenter Who Muted or Removed Participants in a Meeting

Hi , I would like to know if it is possible to identify which presenter removed a guest from a Microsoft Teams meeting by reviewing the meeting recording or any associated logs. Does the platform record such actions, and if so, where can this information be accessed? Microsoft plans some big changes for Teams recording and transcription policies in February 2025. Events like webinars and town halls get separate controls for recording and transcription through the Teams event policy. By default, meeting transcription is enabled to generate transcripts for more meetings (and make transcripts available to Copilot). In addition, face and voice profile enrollment is enabled by default (important if you have Teams Rooms devices). https://office365itpros.com/2025/01/08/teams-recording-and-transcription/256Views1like0CommentsSOLUTION: Missing Teams Video Recordings!!
It took some digging, but for those of you who are unable to find your Teams Meeting videos in your Stream (where they have been stored previously), it turns out that MS is phasing in a process of those videos now being stored in either your One Drive for Business or your Sharepoint. This started happening at the beginning of the year. I'm sure your IT department was alerted, but you may not have gotten the memo. If you're looking for your video, check your Teams chat log. There may be a listing titled the same as the name of your meeting. The video is there! So your videos aren't lost... they're just stored in a new place. Here's where I found the answer: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/tmr-meeting-recording-change
