pstn calling
162 TopicsCalling a phone and playing a message from logic apps
Hi, My objective is to have a logic app that makes a server side outbound phone call, and plays a prerecorded message, that's it.I've been looking atcommunication-services-dotnet-quickstarts/OutboundCallReminder at main · Azure-Samples/communication-services-dotnet-quickstarts (github.com)but I'm getting lost in understanding all the moving parts. Is there a demo walkthrough article or webinar available ? Alternatively, is there a power automate connector available for this scenario ? Or has anybody done this just using REST API for Azure Communication Services ? A simplified sample would be exactly what I'm looking for. Does anyone knows if there is any call duration limit for PSTN and DirectRouting calls through MS Teams? Or if it can be configured on the phone system or calling plan? I could not find any information on the documentation about it, the only max duration I was able to find was for the MS teams meeting whose limit is 30 hours1.6KViews0likes1CommentAnyone here still using Snom phones? Incoming call glitch when using Edge Server
I'm noticing a glitch that is happening with our older Snom 710/720/D725 phones, doesn't affect our Audiocodes phones. I believe it is related to STUN / ICE. When we have an external user that is connecting via our Edge Server (either a remote IP phone or S4B App) and they call an internal extension where the user has a Snom Phone, the audio will drop out after 5-10 seconds. If the internal user with a Snom phone calls that person back, the audio is fine so it is only a one-way issue. Anyone dealt with this issue before?648Views0likes0Commentsincoming caller ID with Response Group showing number from previous call (PSTN only!)
Dear Community, we are facing a issue since about 11/2021 that incoming calls through RGS showing the false number. users only get the last telephone number from the previous call with new calls. all log files (like reporting database, or local s4b logs) are showing correct telephone numbers to the calls. only the S4B Client itself shows the previous caller id on an active call. the "standard" troubleshooting steps are already done (like clearing cache, etc...) - but this does not help. the problem seems similar to following threads: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/278753/incoming-caller-id-with-response-group-showing-sam.html https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/520062/caller-id-issue-when-a-call-is-received-to-a-respo.html does anybody have similar issues...? or better, are there some solutions? overview: S4B 2019 Standard with May 2021 Update Office 365 semi-annual channel (so version 2021) s4b client: 16.0.13801.21148 We will try to update to the latest S4B Server Update (12/2021) because there are many fixes... but there is nothing in the change log which indicates a fix for this issue. 1. Teams Only organization w/Phone System/Calling Plans 2. Polycom VVX VoIP phones (latest SfB online certified firmware) When someone calls in, the Polycom phones and Teams apps that are logged into that account ring, but when we answer one of the Polycom phones, the person calling us cannot hear us. We can hear them. This happens about 3/4 of the time, but not always, and with seemingly no pattern. It doesn't seem to happen when answering using the actual Teams app - only when using the Polycom phones. I've checked out our firewall settings and we are not blocking any of the documented ports or ranges of ports that need to be open, and there is nothing in the actual call log that indicates something is going wrong. I'm at a loss as to how to even begin troubleshooting this. Any advice as to where I can look for clues? Thanks, Bob2.2KViews0likes2CommentsPolycom VVX 411 Signing out Users at Random
Hello, We are about to roll out Polycom VVX411 phones using SfB but in our testing users are getting logged out seemingly randomly between 7-30 days. They do get an error "Exchange authentication failed. Sign out and sign in again." on their Polycom phones about 1-2 hours before the phone actually logs them out. We are running Polycom UC Software version5.9.3.2857 We have MFA enabled for our end users also. We are using SfB and Exchange online, nothing on-prem. Has anyone seen or fixed this issue in their environment? Thanks!9.1KViews0likes15CommentsInitiate PSTN call from teams to public landline.
Hi all, This is my first post. I search on this concept thoroughly beforehand. But couldn't seem to find anything I have looked into the cloud communications part of the MS #GraphApi in order to make a proof of concept regarding: initiating pstn calls from a 3rd party program through Teams to a public landline. Looking at examples like: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/call-redirect?view=graph-rest-beta&tabs=http#example-3-forward-a-call-to-a-pstn-number I would imagine that I might be able to something along the lines: User1 in company Contoso activates a method in 3rd party program. Which sends a command to a call bot The call bot initiate a connection to User1 in company Contoso On reply (preferably automatic) The bot calls the designated landline from the 3rd party program When the PSTN call is accepted by UserB in Acme Inc. The call is "merged" and the bot leaves the call. Is this even doable ? Have someone made something similar. If there is another solution that is easier that is also very much welcome. Looking much forward to your comments.2.8KViews0likes10CommentsPSTN Call Drops if you do consult transfer - Direct Routing
Hi All, I have an issue very similar to the one discussed in this thread: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/pstn-call-drops-if-you-put-the-call-on-hold-then-resume-and-hit/m-p/1626836 started bynaimeshmistry We have a very simple setup: Reception AA->Main Reception Queue->Overflow Queue PSTN is done via Direct Routing. 2 x Ribbon SBCs 1000 running FW 8.0.3 trunked to Telstra Australia Around the beginning of March, our receptionist reported that after her Teams client on the reception desktop auto-updated to version 1.4.00.4167 to the next version up the incoming PSTN calls started to drop out during consultative transfer or while putting on hold and resuming off hold. Fortunately, we had a laptop that was stuck with1.4.00.4167 and she was using that laptop to transfer calls without any issues. Strange enough, we tried to put1.4.00.4167 back onto her desktop but that did not solve the issue. Since then, we purchased her a completely new desktop and the Teams client is now1.4.00.7XXX or1.4.00.8872 have to check. The issue with droppedconsult transfer calls is hit and miss. Sometimes she has no issues all day long, sometimes every incoming call drops out when she tries to do consult transfer. Like others mentioned in the original post, we don't have any custom Music on Hold configured in Teams but have one configured on SBCs and this is what gets played back to the person who is on hold. She also has a different headset when she uses the desktop it is a wireless Jabra 900 Pro, when she used her laptop it was Jabra evolve 30 wired one. Looking at the PSTN log on Teams Admin Portal all calls have CallEndReasonLocalUserInitiated Any help or advice would be much appreciated. It drives us and our customers crazy.Solved4.6KViews1like3CommentsCaller ID issue
Hi there, we've got an issue with multiple tenants/customers with their outgoing callerid. I've created a new CallingLineidentity and assigned them to the users, using PowerShell. Reason? The customer want’s to use the company’s main phone number for outbound calls. But when making outbound calls to varies Dutch providers, the main phone numbers is’nt showing up, but the personal user number is. When making calls to other Skype for Business users, the main number, does show up. -I’ve removed the calling plan, and created news one’s but the problem remains. -When assigning Anonymous callerid, is works perfectly. -We use PhoneSytem, cloud only with Office 365. So no hybrid environment. I’ve had contact with Microsoft support and with the Skype for Business porting desk. They both respond the same. The issue is not Microsoft it’s problem, but lies with the CNAM of the Dutch providers. I’ve tested it by making calls to Vodafone, KPN and T-mobile. All gave the same result. Not the main phone number is showing up, but the users personal number. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Microsoft is using Colt Telecommunications, perhaps i need to ring their doorbell...2.5KViews1like8Commentsauthenticating with an access token
Has anyone tried authenticating with an access token (using -AadAccessToken or -MsAccessToken)? The old version of New-CsOnlineSession had an -OAuthAccessToken param, which accepted a jwt with the PS permissions in the scope, which one could obtain silently, and so avoid login. New-CsOnlineSession has been dropped and the SfB Connector is end of life in July and Connect-MicrosoftTeams does appear to support token for the telephony functions.509Views0likes0Comments
