Our Company policy dictates that we must lock down our exchange with 2 factor authentication. So we force a pin number to our devices and configure exchange active sync to authenticate via a user certificate (Certificate based authentication). Currently there are no options within the skype for business app to connect to exchange using a certifcate. So on launching the application we are prompted with the message (We cant connect to your exchange please try again later). We can connect to Exchange using certificates for email on the devices using the inbuilt stock email apps. Q) Are there any plans to implement certificate based authentication for exchange within the skype for business app ?Solved6.7KViews3likes18CommentsSocial Venture Idea
Hello Everyone, This is Dhaval Vyas from India. I run my own Social Venture i.e. Elixir Social Ventures Pvt. Ltd. under which we have taken a few social development's initiative. We would like to implement one of our the most innovative social initiative, but have no idea where to begin that since it is entirely based on technology & AI, and I don't have any technical background. Eventually, I heard about this platform, and curiously looking for answers, I am sending the post looking for feedback from your esteemed team and office about how can I use this platform to get the best out of it? Anticipating your positive responses for further communication. Thanks nikita766Views0likes0CommentsAbility to ignore a call from a Call Queue
Is it possible to ignore a call that comes in on a call queue? We have a call queue setup and the only option when the notificiation comes us is to answer. This makes it kind of annoying if you are already on a call because it just keeps ringing or you accidentally answer it and then it puts your current call on hold.4.9KViews0likes8CommentsDirect Routing (Screenshots)
Public Preview of Microsoft Direct Routing becomes available in June. Here are some screenshots. It's clear that there will be a migration process/workflow to migrate users currently homed in CCE (SFB Online) and SFB On-Prem to Microsoft Teams when the Direct Routing becomes public preview in June/July. Setup a second leg SIP connection from an existing SBC to a Direct Routing and migrate users from CCE and SFB On-prem as shown. Organizations transitioning to Microsoft Teams and partners helping it happen is unquestionable. Early requirements, pre-requisites, and how-tos information release will be very much instructive for both customers as well as Microsoft partners It's also noted that 4 more new SBC vendors will be certified and added at the end of this year. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/873748.1.png http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/567583.2.png http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/63246.3.png http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/2766.4.png http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/8446.5.png http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/2538.7.png http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/4137.8.png http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/0523.10.png1.5KViews1like0CommentsCloud Connector Edition Coexistence alongside On-Premises not on roadmap
Update 11/10/2017: We heard at Microsoft Ignite that making CCE work alongside SfB Server in the same customer/topology is no longer on the roadmap for CCE. Instead, if you have SfB Server and wanted CCE alongside it, Microsft is recommending instead a small deployment of SfB Server in the OPCH model or AudioCodes CloudBond which is essentially a single “CCE like” appliance but it runs full server so can run OPCH. Sonus’ CCE can also run Server on the appliance blade in “OPCH model” but they don’t have a SKU to buy it/have it officially supported by them in this model. Note all these models run full SfBS server in the “appliance”. Here is the official announcement from Paul Cannon Paul Cannon’s announcement: https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ftechcommunity.microsoft.com%2Ft5%2FSkype-for-Business-Blog%2FNew-CCE-version-due-later-in-November%2Fba-p%2F123336&data=01%7C01%7Ctom.arbuthnot%40modalitysystems.com%7C86a6b7adb7ab4436f5ba08d52861f879%7C9282106133c64b3fa78cc07ede52aa58%7C1&sdata=UDTkJQB%2BNsCGZ5xScufixs4tcbuoGOaFR9nHKfEp6hI%3D&reserved=0 Great news that CCE 2.0 is out. For those who missed it; in the really good Skype Broadcast from Oliver Chiu and @Bill Verthein, as well as going over new 2.0 features, Bill gave some details of this upcoming feature. Many customers have SfBS deployed, possibly already in Hybrid but also want to deploy CCE, today that is blocked; you must be either SFBO and CCE or SfBO and SfBS hybrid. Why would you want both? Some examples: Customer has an existing SfBS, Lync2013S or Lync2010S deployment (with or without EV) and wants to move to SfBO/Cloud PBX without making further investments in server infrastructure A global customer has SfBS in some regions/countries, but now another country wants to deploy Cloud PBX with CCE and is blocked A customer has a small feature requirement for SfBS that isn’t available on SfBO today (server-side call recording for example) but would like to deploy the lighter weight CCE everywhere else Coexistence is now due in CCE “2.1” (Bill used “2.1” to represent the “next version”). It requires some updates in the SfBO service and SfBS (specifically the Federation edge) hence it’s taking a little longer. As always, information and dates given at the development stage are subject to change. Coexistence will require the next version of CCE, “2.1” due “US Fall” which is October, November, December, or CY2017 Q4 It will be supported for SfBS Hybrid It will be supported for Lync2013S Hybrid, but like OPCH you will require at least one SfBS pool and Federation Edge. So if you’re a Lync 2013 Install holding out for CCE get deploying at least one SfBS pool now Coexistence will Require Cumulative Update 6 (CU6) on SfBS (not yet released) Lync 2010 or OCS 2007 R2 will unsurprisingly not be supported, so if you are on these and want to move to CCE you’ll need to look at other upgrade and or migration options Private TAP (Technology Adoption Program, similar to “preview”) is due to start in August 2017 I wrote a blog post with a bit more detail here for those interested: http://tomtalks.uk/2017/07/cloud-connector-edition-2-1-coexistence-premises-hybrid-due-2017-quarter-4-requires-sfbs-cu6/4.3KViews3likes4CommentsPSTN Calling Plans - SfB Preview
I know that Microsoft can not provide answer to my question directly, but are there any rumors about expanding PSTN Calling Plans preview further east? Germany and Belgium are under preview now, so I suppose Poland will be among the next countries. Just wonder if there any rumors on the timeframe (even rough). I would also like to ask, if there is a way to get notifications by email on new elements available on SfB preview webpage. (Instead of visiting the site everyday)1.2KViews0likes2CommentsSkype for Business Salesforce Integration
A while back on skypepreview.com, there was an opportunity to test a skype for business integration inside of Salesforce. It's no longer listed on skypepreview.com so I was curious if this was canceled or if there were still plans to implement?2.3KViews0likes3CommentsAuto Attendant and Call Queues with CCE
I know these are due to enter preview soon, but does anyone know how the CCE will work with AA and CQ? Will we be able to use a line homed on a CCE as a service number for AA and CQ? If we home a user today with our primary incoming number, but want to convert that to AA or CQ later, will that be possible? I don't want to deploy something that gets us stuck. Thanks!2.1KViews0likes5CommentsConversation Logs or Chat History for Anonymous Meeting by Using Trusted API
