After migrating our SharePoint (on-premise) solution to the cloud, we can no longer establish a connection between SharePoint content and our BI Tools utilizing the ODATA connection. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Service Root URI (worked w/ on-premise): http://wss-test.kess.keint.com/sites/BusIntelligence/_vti_bin/ListData.svc/ Other variations we've tried: https://kecloud.sharepoint.com/sites/BusIntelligence/default.aspx https://kecloud.sharepoint.com/sites/BusIntelligence/_api/web/lists/getbytitle('Assigned%20Requests')/items https://kecloud.sharepoint.com/sites/BusIntelligence/_vti_bin/ListData.svc/Solved4.6KViews0likes7CommentsMake Power Query use filter on expanded Entity on Odata API
Hi, I'm using Power Query to import data of my OData API into Excel and Power BI. Filtering works as expected for base query, for example, querying an entity set called "Address" and filter following a parameter called "city" work very well. I see in the log of my API that a url with the following argument : "http://myservice.com/odata/v4/Address?$filter=city = 'Paris'" is generated. But, when I'm using an expanded table and I'm using a filter on a field of the expanded table, it's not working as expected. For example, I expand the entity set "Country" of the entity set "Address" and then I filter the country by name the url generated is "http://myservice.com/odata/v4/Address?$expand=Country" there's no filter all seems to be done thought Excel. I expected something like this "http://myservice.com/odata/v4/Address?$expand=Country($filter=name eq 'France')". I need this, because, there's a huge amont of row in my expanded entity set, and filtering is mandatory for user in order to get data. If anybody could help me adapt my API or this a parameter to enable filtering on expanded table, I'll gratefull.3.2KViews1like1CommentFrom Take-Off to Landing - 6 Steps to a Successful Microsoft Teams Pilot

Hi, I currently have a number of automation tasks I would like to build solutions for and I'm wondering whether they can be built entirely in the 365 software range (PowerBI, Flow, Sharepoint, PowerApps) (I'm a new user). To give a couple of examples: Task 1: 1. Pull csv file 1 from an FTP server 2. Apply some data transformations to a locally stored csv/database file 2 based on file 1 (e.g. appending, groupby) 3. Save the updated file 2 4. Execute API instructions (upload data based on file 2) 5. Run this task automatically on a weekly basis. Task 2: 1. Triggered via a new email into outlook - microsoft exchange account 2. Run this email against a locally stored machine learning model (the model is already built), which returns category data. 3. Based on this cateogry data, move the email into another folder within outlook. Task 3: 1. Pull data from an SQL server 2. Pull data from an API 3. Do some data manipulation 4. Use this report to generate an email report or dashboard 5. Execute this daily I know I can achieve all of the steps in python, but I'm looking for something more robust using 365 software. I've had a quick look at PowerApps, but that looks more geared towards apps with user interaction.? Where would be a good starting point for fully automating these tasks using 365 software? This problem has been bothering me for a long time. When I use the Analyze in Excel feature in Power BI and open the downloaded files in Excel, I get the following error. I am sure that it is set up correctly in Power BI. This problem appears suddenly and exists for all reports. My excel version is 2016. And when I want to connect directly from Excel to Power BI, I can't find the Power BI data source and I don't know if I have wrong somewhere. I didn't find a solution online and I hope someone can help me, thanks in advance.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsPowerBi online connect to dataset of Sharepoint online List
