I’m requesting the ability to become the full administrator of Outlook newsletters not just in my organization, but across Microsoft 365. I want to manage templates, delivery settings, analytics, and permissions. My goal is to have broader control over how newsletters are created, customized, and distributed. I’m passionate about communication and want to help shape how newsletters work in Outlook. Please consider adding a role or feature that allows users like me to take ownership and lead newsletter strategy across organizations. I’ve seen cases where people used newsletters to share inappropriate content, including profanity and offensive language. Without proper moderation tools, this can damage professional communication and create serious issues. I want to help prevent misuse by having the ability to moderate, approve, or restrict newsletter content before it’s sent. I also want to contribute to improving the overall design and performance of the newsletter experience, making it more intuitive, professional, and reliable. Giving users like me full control over Outlook newsletters would improve communication quality, prevent abuse, and empower responsible leadership across organizations. If exclusive admin control isn’t granted, at minimum there should be a designated Admin role because without clear ownership, misuse and poor communication will continue unchecked. I’m ready to take on that responsibility and help shape the future of Outlook newsletters.3Views0likes1CommentNew Outlook Mail Templates – Demo + Step-by-Step Guide

I got a new windows 11 laptop recently and l’m learning and relearning a lot of stuff. I’ve kept my old Win-10 desktop computer, but disconnected it from the Internet. The new computer is connected. I’m transferring files back-and-forth via thumb drive. That is doable but a bigger pain than I had thought it would be. I'm also keeping lots of how-to notes. But my biggest problem (for quite a while) has been Spam/Phishing email. That’s not new or caused by windows 11, but it’s more complicated because 10 & 11 are different. I've had to spend a lot of time talking to W-11 AI about navigation etc. Without AI I would have many more problems. I also block emails via iPhone, but that's really, really time consuming. I’ve had the same MSN email address as long as I’ve had a computer. (40-45 years). I also have Gmail & Yahoo email accounts, but rarely even look at them. I get tons of junk emails EVERY day. Way back when, Outlook had a limit on the total number of blocked addresses that it saved. I’m sure I have overflowed that limit by now. It seems that nothing is going to junk. I waste a lot of time blocking one by one, only to have to repeat over and over; often on the same day. I'm not definitely sure the addresses are exactly the same, but the messages are recognizably the same. Is it possible to empty my junk list and start over from scratch (or maybe use just the domains that I have already blocked)? Something similar to "Copy as Path" & removing duplicates could probably do that. I know I would have to tell Outlook to start blocking via domain instead of full email address. I don’t know how to do any of that, but it would be foolish for me to try to map out all the steps if my plan isn't doable. I'm certainly open to all suggestions. Also, how do I flag this post so that I receive notifications of replies?9Views0likes0CommentsSignificant changes to the New Outlook Calendar Event User Interface

I HATE setting up a new computer!!! With that in mind, I'm struggling to establish contacts/email address as I'd had on my old computer's Outlook 365. Both new and old computer (no longer available) are/were using the latest 365 Office software. What I am trying to replicate is the ability to begin typing a person email address in the TO area, and having suggestions appear. NOTE: I believe that Outlook somehow records addresses used, and these may be part of what drives Outlook to make "suggestions". Though obliviously not all used email addresses appear as a "contact", I'd love to have this data available for use in "suggestions"....but on to my initial issue... I found some "contacts" files which, despite my low tech abilities, I managed to import into my new computer's Outlook (see attached photo). However, I now have three (3) "contact" lists as shown, with only the second and third list containing any entries.....and those entries, while having some similarities, are different. Ideally, I'd like to have the contents of the second and third list combined, and be available within the first list. BTW, when I create a new email, I get no suggestions presented from either of the two lists which contain entries.....I get nothing! MANY thanks in advance!!! Hello everyone, posting to report that after the latest automatic update to Microsoft Office 365 version 16.0.19328.20158, we are experiencing a critical issue on multiple company machines running Windows Server 2016: The Outlook desktop application launches normally, but when trying to open any email, the following error appears: “There was a problem opening this item... The text formatting command is not available... Reinstall Microsoft Outlook.” Launching Outlook in safe mode (Outlook /safe) does not help. Creating the FORMS2 folder (suggested workaround) does not fix it. Attempting a downgrade via OfficeC2RClient.exe fails with error 30183-27 (400). Quick/online repair from Control Panel also has no effect. In our environment, this issue appeared simultaneously on many workstations and servers, right after the Office update today. Temporary solution: We are instructing users to access their mail via Outlook Web App (OWA), which is not affected by this bug. We would like to know: If others have experienced this bug with this build, including on Windows Server 2016 If any working workaround exists, or an official fix timeframe from Microsoft Thanks to anyone who can share their experience or updates!1.4KViews1like6Commentsoutlook contacts continuously restore themselves
I decided to clean out my contacts in outlook, so I exported them all out to a .csv file and then I deleted all 1,200 of them (100 at a time, because apparently microsoft feels that any higher amount would be bad...). Then I spent a few hours in excel combining, consolidating and deleting them down into about 600 contacts. When I went back into outlook and clicked on people, to my surprise all 1,200 of my original contacts were right there again as if I'd done nothing. I figured that some other device must be restoring (through some normal synching process), so I turned off **REMOVED** computers and phones that I've ever used to access outlook). Then I deleted all of the contacts once more, this time using the OWA webpage with my local outlook completely closed. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happens. After repeating that process several more times last night, I shut down my laptop and went to bed. I got up this morning, opened my local outlook app, clicked on people and there were no contacts there at all. For about 5 seconds I was happy, until all 1,200 of them instantly popped right back up like a really bad joke or a dream. Something either on my computer or (I suspect) on microsoft outlook servers is automatically forcing a complete restore of all my contacts. Two side notes: 1) I can create/add and delete single contacts and those changes seem to stick, and 2) I can delete all contacts except a single one and that seems to stick, and 3) I can import my cleaned up .csv file containing 600 contacts back into outlook (with only the one single remaining contact in there), it says that all 600 contacts have been successfully imported, and then within minutes - all 1,200 contacts are back right where they were in the beginning. The truly frustrating part about this issue (and most companies these days), is that IF the customers could possibly **REMOVED** about it so that we can simply continue to make and sell more stuff. It's very sadSolved101Views0likes9CommentsFolders in Outlook Classic empty after update
I use Outlook classic, locally on my laptop. With folders for specific topics and subfolders for sub-content. After an update[Windows 11, last update was 2025-10-15 Cumulatieve update voor op Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64 gebaseerde systemen (KB5066835) (26100.6899) and 2025-10-15 Cumulatieve update voor .NET Framework 3.5 en 4.8.1 voor Windows 11, version 24H2 voor x64 (KB5066131)] , all main folders are still present, all subfolders also still there but ....completely empty. After the first heart attack, found out that all info is still available in webmail - that I never use. But apparently Outlook Classic does not anymore collect all previous info. New email does still arrive in my Outlook Classic. When I open Outlook Modern, all folders and subfolders are there - but only available online. Since I travel a lot, I prefer the locally available Outlook Classic. What to do?53Views1like1CommentIt’s now easier to access iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts in Outlook
We’re excited to announce that the new Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, and Outlook for iOS and Android now support easier iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts access. You no longer need to create and enter app-specific passwords to access your iCloud data in Outlook apps. Now using the OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol, simply sign in with your Apple Account to access your iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts in Outlook. If you already have iCloud set up in Outlook, in the coming months you will be asked to sign in, which will reauthenticate using the new OAuth 2.0 flow. Availability The ability to access iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts using the new authentication flow is rolling out across the new Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, and Outlook for iOS and Android. If you attempt to access iCloud data and are presented with the previous Basic Authentication flow (prompting for an app-specific password), ensure you’ve updated to the latest Outlook app version and restart Outlook. For classic Outlook for Windows users, we recommend trying the new Outlook for Windows, which provides both the new authentication flow and built-in support for iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts without the need for an Outlook add-in. Feedback We would love to hear from you.
