onedrive sync
8 TopicsOneDrive SYNC client not showing 'Shared folder'
The issue of having the 'shared folder turned into an internet shortcut' was solved for me a week ago. as both of the accounts are migrated on new OneDrive (V2) but I'm facing another issue even after migrated to the v2. The problem is, In Windows OneDrive SYNC client, from its settings/account/choose folder, the 'shared folder' is not showing over there. Therefore, I can't choose which folder/file to sync (selective sync that's called), and all the other unnecessary folders into that shared folder, which I don't need or require, are being synced and downloaded on daily basis, eating my bandwidth as well as storage space. I mailed this issue to MSFT but they didn't respond with anything conclusive, except asking to uninstall/reinstall/reset OneDrive, which I already did everything, so posting it here. has anyone else faced or experiecning this same issue? Any workaround? My post in MSFT forum with screenshots here: Check this out for better understanding of this issue. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/onedrive-sync-client-not-showing-shared-folder/cae9231f-4c02-4861-8a3b-aafe7b3e10c5480Views1like2Comments"Failed - Network error"
I have an issue with onedrive where I use the internet version or the application. When i download the files i want, it goes extremely slow (100-700Kb/s). After it has finished downloading all the data it says "Failed - Network error." After this happens, it crashes my internet connection to my modem and my modem has to reset the connection. When i use any other website or app to download a file there is absolutely no problem and my speed is normal (10-16Mb/s) with no "network error". I have tried other networks to download from onedrive and have the same exact problem. Super frustrating especially when you want to download files in Gb, wait all that time to have it fail.2.3KViews1like4CommentsOneDrive on Mac

Thank you in advance.1.1KViews0likes2CommentsOffice icon missing in OneDrive app preferences
Hi! As you can see in onedrive app preferences, there's used to be an "Office" icon, which is now disappeared in my OneDrive app. How is it possible to get this settings option back? I've tried resetting onedrive, and I have the latest version as well. I want to turn file collaboration off. Thank you!7KViews1like12CommentsLatest release for MacOS (23.189.0910.0001) - perpetual re-synchronisation of every file?
Mac Studio Apple M2 Max running latest MacOS 13.5.2 (22G91) Following installation of the latest version of the OneDrive app (23.189.0910.0001), OneDrive did a full re-synchronisation of each file, processing ~280,000 changes. Left the app to do its thing. 12-15 hours later, all files sync'd. Shut down overnight. Rebooted. All good. Shut down overnight. Rebooted. Another full synchronisation. Hi We have about 200 computeres where many of the users are syncing the sharepoint library down to the local PC. Now we need to move some data accross the sites, to do that will we be sure to remove/unlink the onedrive from users PC so they do not sync anymore. The steps should be like this: 1. Unlick the OneDrive 2. Remove/Delete all local files on PC After we have moved data then the user need to use OneDrive again. How can we do this from script/logon or GPO. Powershell or cmd. Hi, When syncing a OneDrive for Business account with OneDrive Sync Client (18.025.0204.0009), two folders are created: OneDrive - Contoso Contoso This is a tenant with multiple companies/organisations. I would like to know where this name 'Contoso' is sourced from and if it can be different on a per user or per security group basis? Also, if this name can be additionally customised, like 'OneDrive - Contoso - John.Doe'? Thanks,3.1KViews0likes5CommentsOneDrive Features
Hello I was at Ignite last week and was watching a presentation on OneDrive that allows employees to sync Sharepoint sites without downloading all the content. meaning if I have a sharepoint volume (maybe a Microsoft Team, Outlook Group or something) that has 20GB of files, but Onedrive only shows them as stubs on my desktop and represents them as cloud icon. I can then click the file i want from the File Explorer and it will download it as needed from the cloud minimizing the space used on my hard drive. I can't seem to find more information about this feature. Can you help elaborate on what this feature is and where i can find it?2KViews0likes4Comments
