How to fix "upload pending" error message in Microsoft word
I dealt with this frustrating issue for over a year, but here's how you can fix it. Example image: How to fix: 1. Make sure Finder is open and all office apps are closed, including Microsoft Word. 2. Click on "GO" in the top bar. 3. Once the drop down menu descends, hold down the OPTION key on your keyboard. You'll see that a folder called "LIBRARY" appears. Click on "LIBRARY". 4. Once inside "LIBRARY", click on a folder called "CONTAINERS." 5. Scroll down until you find a folder called "com.microsoft.Word". 6. Once you've found it, delete "com.microsoft.Word" off your computer. 7. Now, reopen Microsoft Word, and make sure the upload pending error message is gone. It should be, and you should now be able to delete the file if you so choose. Also, if you're experiencing this problem with Excel and/or Powerpoint, you can probably fix it the same way. You'd just have to delete "com.microsoft.Excel" and/or "com.microsoft.Powerpoint" respectively, instead of "com.microsoft.Word". All the steps leading up to that would remain the same. I really hope this helps other people who are dealing with this problem. And if for some reason it doesn't work for you, reach out to Microsoft support while signed into your Microsoft account and get into a chat room. Chatting with a specialist was the only reason I was able to figure this out in the first place.
Auto populate word document
Hello, I would like advice on the best and most user friendly way to setup an auto populate a sheet for my work. I am looking that when a value is typed such as 1.1, it will populate three different areas of the sheet I need done. I have 71 codes that need to be recognized. At the moment I have been using {IF{REF BookmarkName} “1.1” “content”}. I now have this 223 different ways based upon each section of my sheet. But we can do mail merges and would like it a little bit more clear on where to enter the code. I appreciate your advice and feedback on a method that would be best for this. I am using Microsoft® Word für Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2505 Build 16.0.18827.20102) 64 Bit with a document of 620 Pages. It is stored on my local disk to be sure not to have nework problems. My Notebook 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1360P 2.20 GHz with 16 GB Memory and installed OS Windows 11 Enterprise. The document size is about 20 Mbyte. To open the document and be ready to edit, takes about 4 minutes. Searching the document takes Minutes and it is very slow. If the document is oben for another 5 Minutes it will be a bit faster. The memory usage of word is about 700 MB. To be able to work with the document I need to save it as a PDF. With PDF Reader it is comfortable to work with. Is it possible to increase the performance of MS-Word? Thx Bernhard
Can Save Only By Pressing Touch Bar - 2020 MacBook Pro (Intel)
I am working on a 2020 MacBook Pro and am a heavy user of MS Word for Mac through an MS 365 license. My problem only seems to happen in Word. Otherwise, I would suspect some of the hardware. What's happening is that I go to save a document through "Save As" on the File menu. I get a dialog box with the last file name in the file name field. However, I cannot scroll through the directory at hand to pick another name or make sure I am using the same naming convention. It is greyed out. I can go to the file name field at the top of the dialog box, but it will not let me delete the entire file name. I have to click on the name and delete characters and replace them with others. Then, when I go to save with Command Save, I cannot save. I have to press "Save" on the MacBook Pro Touch Bar at the top of the keyboard. Separate from this, I sometimes have difficulty getting the MacBook Pro keyboard to translate to letters or numbers on the screen. It is as though the keyboard needs to warm up or something. After typing spaces into the authentication or password field for awhile, the spaces finally show up and I can delete them and type in my password. Hello, I want to insert tables from Excel into a Word document. However, the Word document is in portrait orientation and has a header and footer that need to be located on the narrow side margins of the pages displaying the tables as they would in portrait mode. The tables, on the other hand, are large enough to span across multiple pages in landscape orientation and need to be separated - automatically at best. Ideally, the table would automatically repeat the header row at the top of each new page. Additionally, the inserted Excel table would be linked to the original file, so changes in the .xlsx file would reflect in the table inserted in the Word document. How can I achieve this goal? Here is what I have tried already: section breaks - helps, inserting and linking the table in landscape mode but issues with footer, header and page breaks arise creating an extra text field and rotating the table - no link and therefore no updated data in the table, next to the issue with page breaks In the end I need to insert around 20-30 multi-page long tables in landscape format and would really appreciate avoiding a tremendous amount of work, every time I need to update the data in the tables. One of our admin-managed add-ins (Adobe Sign) has gone AWOL from the ribbon of the Word desktop app recently (it still shows up in the web-app version of Word). One of the suggested troubleshooting steps is to check review the Office Add-ins from within the app itself. When doing so, I receive an error: Insert ribbon-->Add-ins section-->My Add-ins-->See all...-->Admin Managed "Cannot connect to catalog" I've tried: signing out, back in, clearing the Office cache, and redeploying the add-in from central management. The deployment always reports that it was successful. Can anyone else reproduce this "Cannot connect to catalog" issue, or suggest additional troubleshooting steps/workarounds?
