Problems with Notifications in Teams
Hey, we are a group of 50 students trying to set up MS Teams. There is a big issue with notifications. First of all: notifications for individual chat messages always come up with everyone, on mobile devices as well as in the desktop application. that means notifications in general are enabled. We have formed a team with 6 channels. Every single one of us has selected the following notification settings for every single channel: Mobile device: Enter channel, klick on the bell, "all notifications" Desktop application: Enter channel settings, "Banner and Feed" for new posts and mentions For the most of us, notifications about new posts dont work at all. Neither when the desktop application is running (in the background), nor on the mobile device. For me personally it works on Android and desktop, but only for some channels. Some of the channels dont even show up in the activity feed, although the posts are received (the name of the channel is printed in bold letters then, but the posts do not bring up a notification or an entry in the activity feed although they should due to the above mentioned notification config). Also, within the android notification system setting every single point is enabled for MS Teams. What are we doing wrong? It appears to be completely random and I have wasted all day trying to figure out what the problem is. Thank you for any good advice.
Turn off Assignment notifications for teachers
We have made one team per class of students with teachers as owners of the team, as per our country's policy. Problem is that there doesn't seem to be a way to set it so that Teachers don't get pinged every time some assingment is given to all of the pupils. It seems that the ping comes from the program automatically pinging the whole team which is bad. This also means we can't just turn off in notifications this type of event, because most still want to get notifications when a person mentions them, rather than a headless program. So is there a way for teachers on android and ios phones not to be notified about assignments that other teachers make?
MS Teams Calendar Reminders
Hi All, I've been running MS Teams happily on Mac OSX Mohave for the past year, but was recently forced to update to Catalina. Ever since, I have been failing to receive calendar notifications from Teams for meetings (these are all scheduled with Outlook and hadn't changed before/after the upgrade). I receive banner notifications for everything else (including chats), but not for calendar items. My notification settings are set to "all activity" and "permissions" are on for notifications. I've tried completely reinstalling Teams to see if that helps, to no avail. If anyone has suggestions to help me debug this problem, I'd be grateful!
Changing the "Posted a new message" notification
We have recently written some code that sends an adaptive card through to Teams. When the adaptive card arrives at Teams, a desktop notification shows stating "ChatUser posted a new message". I was wondering how to change the text of the notification? Can this be changed to show some other text from the adaptive card?
