Is anyone noticing major rendering issues with the SharePoint Online News web part? The issues are similar to this post... https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sharepoint/changes-to-top-story-news-web-part/m-p/2586536 ...but the impact is also on other 'Layout' types. It is almost as if Microsoft have broken their CSS or something, as the images used in news item banners are rendering as full size, rather than being cropped and having a gradient applied (to ensure text is readable in the web part). My configuration of the web part is as shown below (or attached), and I can confirm that this issue is happening in multiple tenants, and mulitple site collections. In fact, I can't find any site collection where this issue ISN'T occurring. Be very keen to hear of others experiencing this, and would be grateful if others could test this in their own tenants to see how widescale the problem is. Hi all, Currently we are in the middle of creating a new intranet. One of the functionalities is the ability to show news in 3 columns depending on the type of news. Therefor we created a site column 'News category' with the following choices: Breaking Daily Other This is working perfectly and we can tag the news pages using the new feature Page Details. Now we want to show the correct news in the correct column on the homepage. So we add the news web part in 3 different column and select the following settings: Source: this site Layout: list Amount of news: 4 Filter Page properties News category is equal too Breaking (or Daily or Other, depending on which news web part we are configuring) This seems to work perfectly after configuring the web parts and publishing the page. The problem exists when I refresh the page or somebody else visits the page. The filters are totally mixed up. Some news that is tagged Breaking is now showing in the Daily news web part. Or some news page is being shown in Breaking, Daily and Other. When I check each web part setting the filters are still correctly configurated but it seems that SharePoint forget to apply the filter after publishing… I've also tried the same functionality using the Highlighted Content web part and there it works perfectly. But then my users have to deal with the fact that on each picture the SharePoint page icon is being shown. We prefer to use the news web part for the cleaner look. Hi all, hoping there is something that I am missing here, but it appears that the News web part can only be set to filter based on properties shared with the current page. We use multiple site page Content Types with different properties to control our navigation, however it appears that I can't filter news based on a column, unless the page I'm currently on also contains that column. Anybody else experienced this issue, or know of a workaround (aside from adding the columns I want to filter on to the content type of the page hosting the web part)?3.3KViews1like4CommentsNews Web Part "See All" Missing
Just in the last day or so the "See All" in the top right corner of the News Web Part has gone missing. I checked the web part properties and they are set to pull all pages from the current site. (Yes, I have multiple articles/pages.) I also tried removing and adding back the web part, however, "See All" still does not appear. Funny thing is "See All" still appears on the Calendar web part and there are only 2 entries. Any ideas?4.1KViews1like2CommentsModern SharePoint - News web part - Carousel - layout
