I got questions with regards to the Change Of Channel Partner (COCP) rule which has been introduced with the start of the new FY of MSFT. When is COCP being enforced? Is that already with the start of FY27? For transfers executed prior to start COCP will the partners still earn incentives after start date COCP? Eg. start date being July 1st, but the transfer was executed in April. Will the new partner keep earning their incentives after July? n When executing a CSP transfer, both the license costs and incentives are fully prorated. Eg. existing partner received a annual payment in September 2026 (getting full year costs and full year incentives) and executes a CSP transfer in December, they get credit of 8 months costs but also need to return the incentives for 8 months. Everything is prorated. Now with COCP the new partner would not earn the Core/Strategic incentives anymore, thus the new partner only get the 8 months costs, but not the 8 months of incentives. Is this correct? A Reseller switching between Disti's is considered COCP and thus won't be earning any Core/Strategic incentives anymore. Does this apply to both the existing Reseller and new Disti? During the community call yesterday it was mentioned that the only focus is on growth with regards to incentives. Resellers might be switching from a transactional Disti (one that doesn't support growth) to a added-value Disti (one that does support additional growth). But due to COCP guidelines, this is now strongly discouraged and punished by MSFT. Why are Resellers being punished for such a Disti switching, by loosing their Core/Strategic incentives? Same goes for customer tenants switch from partner to partner. The new partner would not earn any Core/Strategic incentives anymore, even though they might be the better partner for that customer to increase up- and cross-sell (realize growth). Now the new partner is being punished for being the better partner and taking over the customer tenant. Why? Hope to get some insights on how COCP will actually work, and the thoughts behind it from MSFT on why they introduced it. Dear all last week, we received this mail regarding a tier 5 Sandbox and its pricing: I know about the upcoming price update as from October 1 but a) it is not October yet and b) this SKU was not announced to be increased at all. Is this a mistake in Microsoft's billing system? (almost impossible - ok, sarcasm off now) Thanks for your inputs cheers Daniel723Views2likes6CommentsPrice increase October - what will we get?
Dear community - and hopefully also Microsoft employees we are facing the price increase in October and do still not know, what prices we (our customers) our going to get. I have checked the October preview price list this morning but did only find a few SKUs in there. Am I missing something? Here is an overview of the "to-us-relevant" SKUs. Highlighted the ones I have found in the preview. Any other way to find correct information? Be aware this is Swiss Francs - so "your" currency/price will probably be slightly different. Also quite funny that the percentages of the increase varies quite a bit - I'll keep my sarcastic comments for me now... any input/help would be very much appreciated since we would like to tell our customers, whats going on... cheers DanielSolved1.1KViews2likes2CommentsNCE subscription transfer option
Since a few days we can finally use the NCE Subscription Transfer capability: Transfer a customer's new commerce license-based subscriptions from one transacting Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner to another. - Partner Center | Microsoft Learn But how does the transfer impact promotions, like BttC2, DMWL and others? Above documentation doesn't provide an answer for this. And will this capability also be extended towards Software Subscriptions and Software Perpetual?Solved2.4KViews2likes3CommentsNCE / CSP | Business Premium add ons
Hi, I tried to find information in Microsoft Product terms but didn't find anything conclusive. If a customer have M365 Business Premium licenses, can they add Enterprise + Mobility E5 licenses for added security? Or is the add-ons that are available for M365 Business Premium only "standalone" licenses for the services that are included in Enterprise + Mobility E5? Dear all, we have a customer that is currently using D365 Marketing attach license and has two more non-production environments with the SKU D365 Marketing additional non-prod applications. However, they will need to transition to the new SKUs for Customer Insights. Do you know how many environments are included in the Customer Insights license? Our customer needs 1 prod and 2 non-prod environments running. We see that the additional non-prod SKU is not available in the new pricelists anymore so we are not sure if the Customer Insights includes more than 1 test environment. Thank you!Solved1.1KViews2likes2CommentsCustomer Insights and interacted people
Hello all! The following situation: We installed the new Customer Insights at a customer of ours. The license used is the Customer Insights Attach. In addition, the customer has appropriate Dynamics licenses to be eligible for the Attach license. There are no AddOn's booked yet. According to the Licensing Guide, the base license includes 10,000 interacted people. However, in the customer system we have 20,000. There is a footnote in the Licensing Guide that indicates that you actually get 10,000 more. But is that really the case? Or do they get contacts added through other licenses as well? How come there are 20,000 contacts there? Thanks for the help!Solved2.3KViews2likes4CommentsDynamics 365 Operations - Order Lines licenses cannot be activated.
Hi Team, Unfortunately, we cannot activate Dynamics 365 Operations - Order Lines licenses via the Partner Center. According to the price list the licenses should be available. Hi all, Following the recent https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/announcements/2023-july#6 on the Microsoft-led legacy migration starting January 2024, we as an Indirect Provider would like to ask this: If a subscription is on a legacy SKU that has no migration path to NCE, how Microsoft's automated mechanism will react and what NCE SKU will choose? On which criteria will the automation choose in which NCE SKU the legacy one should be migrated? Thank you in advance for your significant support. Best regardsSolved2.8KViews2likes1Comment
