Finding the recycling bin on Microsoft word
I have had to go on a wild goose chase, to be quite frank with you, for the recycling bin on word. I was about to lock in and have my “academic comeback”, as the bairns say on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, and I was taken off my track to find this stupid recycling bin. I am still yet to find and it and I am very unhappy, not only was google no help but so was Microsoft. 1/ Micro out of 10. Very upset need I remind you. Those special documents are now swimming in the land of the meta, in the river of the Zuckerberg and I can’t do anything about it. Get with the programme Microsoft. sincerely, disappointed.
Trapped in an Authenticator Loop
Dear Community, please help! I am trapped in an Authenticator Loop. I've got a microsoft workplace account, but if I want to log in, I have to type in a code from the microsoft authenticator app. I downloaded the app, but in order to use it, I have to log into my account and in order to do so, I also have to type in a code from the authenticator app, which I don't get, because to get the code I would have to log into the authenticator app, what I would need a code for... No matter which link I click, I can't open anything before I enter the code, which I can't get. I am using teams on mac, either on a firefox browser or on the desktop app and the authenticator on an Iphone. Please don't just tell me "don't use teams on a mac", this wasn't my choice. Unfortunately, my emplyer's IT support also is chronically unavailable. So is here anyone who could help me? I've already gone through the usual deleting the app, using another browser etc. options. Best Lukas
Microsoft Teams and Authenticator lockdown
I’m having a very frustrating issue with Microsoft Teams. I am able to log in to teams using my normal personal email and account ONLY ON THE WEB BROWSER. From the web browser, I am not able to access the business channel that I am in. When attempting to log in on the downloaded mobile Teams App, I am sent directly to Microsoft Authenticator, which after waiting several hours, waiting even a full day, is still displaying a message about repeated verification attempt and to wait and try again later. I have accessed Microsoft support chat and they had no help for me. I need the authenticator lockdown to refresh and it will not.Add filters/ grouping to microsoft authenticator app accounts
Hello! Hope you are all well! I would like to see filters of personal/ Work and school accounts or by domain. Or even the ability to organise accounts manually into groups. Currently have a long list of personal accounts and work account.Ruler Feature Disappeared from Microsoft Word on Android Tablet
Hello everyone, My father recently bought a new Android tablet specifically to use Microsoft Word for his work because he relies heavily on the Ruler feature. When I first installed Word, the Ruler was available and worked perfectly. However, after restarting the tablet, it disappeared. Since then, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, tried different versions of Word, checked all the settings, and confirmed that we had an active Microsoft 365 subscription, but the Ruler is still missing. My father has also tried adjusting to different document layouts and workarounds, but unfortunately none of them are practical for his workflow. He simply cannot work efficiently without the Ruler feature. Has anyone experienced this issue? Is the Ruler still supported in Microsoft Word for Android, or has it been removed? If it's still available, is there any way to restore it or install a version that includes it? My father bought this tablet mainly for Microsoft Word, so this feature is essential for his work. Thank you for any help or clarification.
Word fillable forms that are mobile device compatible
I can't find any recent info on how to make word fillable forms compatible for mobile devices (so they can be completed on mobile phone). I've set up forms, and they are restricted for fillable entry only. They send via email and work on PC, but on a mobile, if opened through mobile word app, you can select but not input anything. If this worked if would save so many issues for me, but I've no idea if or how it can be done. I have read some stuff on Infopath, but this is a little beyond me. Did try it but it would not import my word fillable template. Not really keen to redesign my many forms, if I don't need to and would rather reduce number of apps/add ons if possible. Any advice?
Microsoft Authenticator Passkeys for Entra ID on unmanaged devices
Hello, has anyone successfully registered passkeys on an unmanaged phone in an organisation with device compliance policies? Use case is to provide a phishing-resistant MFA option via Authenticator app for logging into apps on their desktop. Users already have authenticator app on their phone and do number matching MFA. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/authentication/how-to-register-passkey-authenticator?tabs=iOS When I select "Create a passkey" - I need to log into my account. However I'm blocked from successful authentication because I have conditional access policies to require compliant devices. As my mobile phone is not enrolled into Intune, I never get to the step where the passkey is created and registered. Based on the constraints - it seems like passkeys cannot be used for unmanaged/BYOD devices for organisations that have device compliance policies. It can only be used for users who have enrolled their mobile phone. Looking to see if anyone has tips or different experience using passkeys on unmanaged mobile phones to log into Entra?
Word on iPhone
In the past, I’ve managed to edit some documents on my iPhone in Microsoft Word. But now Microsoft is slapping me in the face with grammatical suggestions that obscure my document. I don’t want any grammatical suggestions, but I can’t figure out how to make them stop. Can anybody suggest how I can do that? Am I in the right place to ask this question? Is there another place for the iPhone app?TAP Question
Hi All I hope you are well. Anyway, I'm looking for some clarification over Temporary Access Passes (TAP) as our testing seems to reveal some different results from those listed in the MS documentation. Here's the scenario's. My understanding: Require MFA policy deployed via Conditional Access New user F3 user starts Issue TAP to user where they can then setup MFA themselves via My Security Info etc Testing results: Require MFA policy deployed via Conditional Access New user F3 user starts User can setup MFA themselves via MS Auth app on a mobile device or via My Security Info in a browser MS TAP Info page: "The most common use for a TAP is for a user to register authentication details during the first sign-in or device setup, without the need to complete extra security prompts." Ref: Configure a Temporary Access Pass in Microsoft Entra ID to register passwordless authentication methods - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn Have I missed understood something here and if a new user can indeed still setup MFA is there any real need for a TAP for first time user? Info appreciated. SK
