microsoft teams public preview
7 TopicsPublic preview checkbox keeps unchecking
Hi 🙂 When I tick the 'Public preview' box within settings, it is not clear if this instantly changes to the preview version or if it needs a restart. In Classic Teams, enabling public preview used to relaunch the app. In addition, the checkbox also regularly shows as unticked. I suspect this is happening after Teams updates (which it does a few times a day sometimes). Does anyone else notice this? I would like to stay in preview mode the majority of the time, but at the least until I choose to turn it off. With this current way of working I am often taken out of it without being notified. For all features, refer: What's new in Microsoft Teams Public Preview & Targeted Release - Microsoft Support Description The Teams Discover Feed is a personalized, relevance-based feed of Teams channel content available in a scrollable view for undirected channel content, intended to solve information discovery and awareness issues for Teams users. Discover Feed brings customized content that helps you catch up on people or topics or channels you are interested in, in your team or the broader organization. Discover Feed surfaces channel posts of interest to the user based on the people they work with or the topics they might be interested in, which they would have otherwise missed out on. It is any content which users are not explicitly notified through mentions, replies, tags etc. or they don’t need to triage on an urgent basis but based on topics of interest or people in the network that the content covers, it is still interesting/informative and adds value to the user. Some additional features the feed provides to give users control– Users can see why the post is relevant to them, along with the feedback mechanism to share with the product -if the post was useful to them or not. Users can control the content they view on the feed from the ellipsis or three dot menu ( …), users can even choose to stop seeing posts from the specific person or channel. Flighting status Enabled for all the users in Teams Public preview and M365 Targeted release for Desktop users. Hi 🙂 When using the New version of Teams, if I enable the preview mode via Settings/About the version number changes to include (preview) after it, but the features I know to be there in preview do not show - the current one that is easy to check is the new compose box. To get it to fully enable I need to quit and relaunch the app - in Classic the app resprung when opting to enable preview. Is this what other people see happening, or is my client playing up? The Microsoft Teams Public Preview application seems to be missing the Teams Wiki app. In February 2023's SharePoint Roadmap Pitstop, the following was stated: Microsoft Teams: Wiki retirement and the future of note taking in Teams Channels We are announcing that Wiki's will be retired from Teams. We are offering note taking capabilities through Teams Channels powered by OneNote. With this release, users have an option to export their wiki content to OneNote notebooks in Teams standard channel. After exporting, users can go to the Notes tab to collaborate using OneNote in channels. Note: With this change users can continue to access and edit existing wikis but can’t create new wikis in Teams channels. Is there anyone else who is experiencing the same behavior other than us? In Teams Public Preview, when you post in a Teams Channel - like for example I entered a word "Microsoft Teams". When I move my cursor behind letter T on Teams and click on it. The cursor will automatically move on the last part of the word Teams, so the cursor will move after the letter S. Just wanted to verify that this is a bug or what. Thank you!
