Good day all. Out of the blue, Edge is now complaining about a comment box in one of our Workflow task popup window with this message - Your browser does not support the InfoPath Rich Text Edit control. Has anyone been able to disable this InfoPath icon to allow their users entry. -Right now they are having to click OK then click back the Icon and then they can enter the text box.1.5KViews0likes0CommentsCompatibility Issues between SharePoint Online and Microsoft Edge
Up until recently, I've been having some issues in using and working with SharePoint online via Microsoft Edge. It is starting to become annoying. First when accessing the document library in modern view, the documents folders or files don't always show up. The page is constantly having to be refreshed in order for it to show the content. This issue doesn't happen on IE11 or Chrome. Second, when editing a SharePoint online page in Microsoft Edge is has become problematic as well where everything doesn't load either -- the web parts are there but the content are not visible. Again, we don't experience this issue in IE11 and Chrome. I even tried clearing out the browser cache and cookies, that doesn't make a difference. So, is there a compatibility issue between Microsoft Edge and SharePoint online?21KViews0likes8CommentsSharePoint + Microsoft Edge Chromium Issue with installing VSTO file
We currently host Clickonce installers (VSTO) in SharePoint Document Library to distribute the Word Addins to users. Until now most of them used Internet Explorer and when clicking on VSTO file, it installs the word addin directly from SharePoint and it also helps in releasing the future addin updates. Problem: We are currently migrating to Microsoft Edge Chromium browser. When we click on the VSTO file, it downloads locally and installation fails. Additional Information: We tried hosting the VSTO installer in IIS directly and tested with a simple HTML page with the link to the VSTO file: It nicely installs the addin using MSEdge Chromium browser. We narrowed down that it is the SharePoint+MSEdge issue. Has anyone faced this issue, it will be great if you could help. We are currently using SharePoint 2013 with MSOffice Client - Word 365 Microsoft Edge Version: 86.0.622.69 (Official build) (64-bit)872Views0likes1CommentForms not loading in Sharepoint
Hi, I'm having issues with forms loading in my SharePoint site using Edge. Create the form, copy link and insert a new webpart and all I see is a loading message; I've tried refreshing the page and restarting. It works fine in Chrome with no issues. If I complete the form in Chrome, then open my Edge browser and refresh the page, i will see the "thank you for submitting your response" message. But will not load the actual form for completion Is there a known issue with this on the Edge browser?3KViews0likes0CommentsSharePoint 2019 + Anonymous Access + Microsoft Edge = CSP issues
I do not know if this also occurs for SharePoint Online, if someone can test this for me, I would appreciate it. When accessing my SharePoint 2019 site on Microsoft Edge as an anonymous user, I get paraded by a bunch of login dialogs asking for credentials. Every time a cancel is hit, it continues trying to load the page until the page is more or less finished loading. See below screenshot for a snippet of the logs appearing in DevTools. The anonymous users have the following permissions: View Items View Pages View Versions View Application Pages Use Client Integration Features Open This works on all other browsers (including ironically Internet Explorer). Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Is there a web.config, or permission setting that I am missing? Regards, AS.887Views0likes0Comments
